first day at the gym today, had to do an assessment and everything.

I'm 5'9, 135 pounds but my body fat is 18%

time to hit the weights hard lol

And I saw Gary Roberts eating lunch at my gym...he has his training program there.

i have a question for people who have been doing this for a while. is this an ok goal to set? : 8 percent body fat reduction and an increase in weight lifted/rep/set of 10 pounds. this goal being aimed to be completed in 2.5 months.

any opinions?

8% reduction in bf in 2.5 months?? Meaning going from 18% to 8%? Something like that?

Maybe if you really restricted your diet and did cardio like a madman.... but I'd be surprised if you didn't get WEAKER by doing that.

Kid's name is Tom Martin. He's 24 yrs old and one of the most freakish athletes I've ever seen.

Deadlifts almost 800lbs.

Benches about 350lbs.

All at a weight of 180lbs.

I think he meant lower it by 8%. Maybe from 28% to 20% type of deal. Which is very easy in 2-3 months. At the lower levels of body fat % the time to improve will be increased drastically.

Going from 30% to 20% would take a lot less time than going from 15% to 10%.

True. How're your workouts coming? You all shredded up for summer yet? Or has the gf made you soft?

After doing some research, looks like I'll need 2728 calories should be 50% carbs, 30% protein, 20% fats.

any recommendations on what I should eat? I'm under eating right now with fast food for dinner, going to the grocery store tomorrow and buying everything lol

im currently at 16 percent. well it fluctuates between 15-16 and i dont think being able to lift 10 more pounds on each excercise is that big a deal. ive done it before.. went from 10-20 in 2 months, just my body fat didnt decrease as much. right now im lifting 30's for workouts relating to biceps, 40-45 for back, 35 for shoulders, and i dont do bench press. pushups ftw

A little bit of both. Gf works out tons herself.

Work is kicking my ass thought. Night shift weeks fuck up my routine pretty bad. When im on day shift I rock that shit hard. I found a 24hr Goodlife Fitness that I fell in love with, so from now on Ill be getting a more stable routine cause ill be able to go a lot more now.

Nope never been with her. She goes to a small gym in Richmond Hill, I go to Goodlife right around my home in North York.

But yes, im very much down for grabbing a bite. I love food lol
