oh ya true...it says 100% sugar from the vegetables and fruits on the back of the V8 bottle but your right it's not good to take in too much sugar artificial or natural. I'll take it down to 2 cups a day.

Been reading the forums at BB.com and I'm going to try the 3 rule plan for fat loss.

I already work out 3 times a week...will need to buy a protein powder to get my 1gram per 1lb of lean body weight...and the calorie deficit of 500grams per day should be more effective if a bunch of them are protein shake.

We'll see how it goes.

I work out 4 times a week, and try to eat healthy.
Hardest times for me is snacking before bed watching a lil of the boob tube.
I ussually watch the raps while on a treadmill. Its great. But those late night HBO shows kill me.

It's probably already been mentioned, but do cardio on an empty stomach in the morning.

Because your stomach is empty, your body will dip into your fat stores for fuel instead of the food you just ate.

You should also try and eat 1 to 2 grams of protein per pound of body weight.

just had one my best workouts yet...had my preworkout protein shake, did the Plyometric Cardio circuit in Insanity, went all out too lol. Then did the cardio abs which is just 15 mins of intense ab workouts and then lifted some weights and did a couple of reps. Was sweating like crazy but feel good right now.

hmmm depends how long the cardio is because exercising on an empty stomach also causes muscle catabolism ur body was in starvation mode overnight so you need to eat breakfast as soon as you can.

Depends on who you talk to.

My friend who's a certified personal trainer and nutritionist has always told me that if you have a meal or shake two hours before you go to bed when you wake up your glycogen levels will be low, but won't be gone, so you'll have just enough glycogen left to allow your body to burn fat, but low enough levels that you'll burn more fat than normal to compensate for it.

I think that THIS is the key. If you have some cottage cheese or a protein shake before bed you won't wake up STARVING (for the most part).

I've heard the same things though and it def. seems to work for a lot of people.

I remember reading about some fitness model who set her alarm to wake her up at 3:00 or 3:30 so she could have a shake and then go back to bed.

I'm actually a big believer in having some protein before sleep because that's prime time for regenerating your muscles after a workout, and tissue in general. When I was hardcore, a protein shake before bed followed by 30-45 minutes of cardio the next morning, and weights in the evening was what gave me the best combination for building lean muscle.
Eating lots and lots and lots of vegetables and drinking boatloads of water (as stated elsewhere) also helped with cutting back on the cravings throughout the day because I was always full. A girl I used to work with tried this fitness model's diet here:
fighterdiet.com
She had some incredible results in a relatively short amount of time. The diet itself is pretty extreme in my mind, and takes a shitload of dedication that I honestly don't care about anymore.
There's an aesthetic side to all of this that I think is bullshit, and being ripped and shredded has a tonne of side effects for men and women, the biggest I would say is an unnecessary compromising of the immune system. I had friends competing in bodybuilding competitions and figure competitions who, if they even heard a sniffle bolted out of the room at breakneck speed. Sure you look good on the outside, but if not done in moderation, which is usually the case with these lifestyles, can really wreak havoc on your insides.

Lol... I've done that before.... well, not set my alarm... but I've woken up at 4AM or 5AM and scarfed down a protein bar because I was starving (and then gone back to bed).
