At least the above tunes have some sort of melody or character. For me, it's these kinds of crappy songs that drive me up the wall and make me want to jump out of moving cars...

Oh, and anything by Dallas Green.

the Happy birthday song...
if you are older than 12, there should be a ban on singing it for a person's bday.

it was a co-workers bday here at my office this week, and she's like 40...
no one likes here and we were all forced to gather in a meeting room and sing it when they brought in a 99 cent muffin for her.
it was the worst rendition of happy birthday i have ever experienced. i actually wanted to laugh at how pathetic the whole scene was.

*ughhhh* it gives me the shudders.

imagine gathering 8 people into a meeting room where they are forced to sing happy birthday to an old gremlin that everyone hates.

+10000000 insider. the at-work birthday song needs to die a quick and painful death.

...although in our family we still sing it, but my mom and bro sing harmony lines and it actually sounds pretty cool. that may the nerdiest thing i've ever written on this forum, which is really saying something, but i do have a thing for harmonies...

Whenever we have a birthday at work we all contribute $2.00 and get the person a cake. As soon as they start singing Happy Birthday I chime in with my best high pitched hair metal impression and drown everybody out.

there may not be too many that agree, but to me this is one of the all-time most annoying songs.

I agree. Not a Doors fan.

Now, we agreed on something. Why do I feel as though the universe is about to implode?

Dude, Robby Krieger's use of the harmonic minor scale is brilliant.

Also what would those scenes Apocalypse Now be without it.

i don't have a problem with krieger, per se... just morrison's stoner-hippie 'poetry'.

"he took a face from the ancient gallery, and he WALKED ON DOWN THE HALL!"

I think the majority of my hate rests with the 'poet', Jimmy Morrison. As an instrumental band, I think they'd be unique.

Get a room you two.

Though I'd agree with the sentiments being expressed about Mr. Mojo Risin'. Doors songs certainly are fun to play though.

I used to love the Hip and still do in a way, but things kinda went downhill with this record and this song is one of my least favourite songs of any song ever. I don't know if it's the horrible guitar tone, the annoying bass or Gord's flat delivery or all three.

OK. I don't know the exact name of the song, or who sings it... but it's the one that's about "having a bad day."

"you had a bad day" over and over again to the world's most ear-bleeding melody.

I'd look it up on youtube, but it would just make me mad hearing it, and i can't access youtube at work.

Anyways, that is one of the worst songs ever written, recorded and produced.
