thanks for the encouragement dude. I'm just pissed off is all and the main reason is not being able to watch my kids. It just makes things a lot harder on my wife now and it fucks up a routine that was working pretty well. Obviously we shall work around it, but i just want this to heal to the point where i can take nice little walk down the street or something.

The nice thing is my dad is a physiotherapist.

HI Fancy,

maybe my wife might be able to help:
you can check out what she does here: rosabialski.com

I don't know what your pain management, and inflammation are like, but her practice has rebuilt tissue in my shoulder (I was looking at surgery), cured my sciatica, ended my migraine problem and seriously helped with sprains, and other severe inflammations.
She does a free clinic by appointment in Guelph, and how it works after that, is if you've found some tones (that are customized to you) then she sends them to you, and you just need some low frequency headphones and an iPod. Listen to them when you need to, or at the very least before you go to bed.
We're also in Toronto from time to time, so maybe we could come to you, if you're interested.

Take SJ's advice and stay positive, and give time for yourself to heal. The more of your energy you focus on that, the sooner you're walking down the street

Sounds like the Doctor was a Mexicant, why isn't she sure?? - I would go to another doctor or a Sports clinic if their is one.

They physio is key if it's a severe sprain - and I'm not an expert but the required physio might be different depending on if it's a sprain on a break.

as someone who is pretty familiar with fractures, and treatments (part of my job is to review peoples' visits to the emerg dept.), i can say that questionable diagnoses are quite normal and happen all the time. Sometimes an xray is inconclusive, but it shows a small area of uncertainty as in there doesn't appear to be a consensus break, but something just looks a bit off so it's better to treat it as a fracture to be safe.

And cling, thanks for the suggestion. I appreciate it. I'll just go the conventional route for now and see how it goes before i try something different. Although it would be fun to hook up and enjoy a pint or two with you and the mrs. regardless.
