Smile Abercrombie and fitch willing to pay people to NOT wear their clothes

GTL...but no A and F!

Abercrombie and Fitch has a bad, bad Situation on its hands.

The clothing company (famous for its ads of nearly naked hunks) is worried that jersey Shore star Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino has been wearing its wares out and about. So worried, in fact, that they're willing to pay Sorrentino, 29 -- plus his jersey Shore castmates -- a "substantial" amount of cash to cease and desist rocking A and F gear in public.

"We are deeply concerned that Mr. Sorrentino's association with our brand could cause significant damage to our image," the company said in a press release Tuesday (via CNN).

"We understand that the show is for entertainment purposes, but believe this association is contrary to the aspirational nature of our brand, and may be distressing to many of our fans," the statement continued.

"We have therefore offered a substantial payment to Michael 'The Situation' Sorrentino and the producers of MTV's The jersey Shore to have the character wear an alternate brand. We have also extended this offer to other members of the cast, and are urgently waiting a response."

No word yet on The Situation's response -- or how "substantial" the company's offer is.

The sad thing is that these reality stars (Jersey Shore, Kardasian people) are actually 30 and not 20

people confuse my K Mart jeans for Diesel because of some design on the butt
pocket. Just goes to show that there isn't a difference at all.

Ha - same thing happens to me.

I have a coat from Walmart. Got compliments on it all the time and fancy brand-obsessed chicks would ask where I got it. Went white when I'd happily say "Walmart!".

Same with a pair of shoes I bought at Zellers for $5 a long time ago. They give me compliments and look disgusted once I tell 'em where I got them.

Silly.

I shop a lot at American Eagle...

And i must confess that i have one pair of shorts from Abercrombie, i got them about 4yrs ago as a gift. Surprisingly i get a ton of compliments on them to this day. But i can't bring myself to going into that store. At 37 i feel old going into stores like that. And i avoid feeling old as often as possible. lol

I have bought some clothes Joe Fresh, pretty decent clothes at great prices. They don't exactly have a ton of selection though. lol

that's cool. things like Joe fresh, H&M and whatever i wouldn't really consider 'brands' and i get my share of clothes from stores like that. Their clothes generally aren't big walking advertisements and they don't have the brand plastered all over the front or something.

As far as clothing brands/labels go, there are really only 3 that i go for. 1. Fred Perry, 2. Ben Sherman, 3. Adidas originals.

i find myself buying a lot of my casual clothes at Walmart and Zellers these days...great deals on jeans ,shorts, teeshirts , track suits etc etc etc...
and to be honest, i find they are the only stores that have (every day) clothes in my size anymore..i'm a very solid 6'1" 235...most of the "specialty" stores these days seem to only cater to tweens with size 18 waists...seriously, if you're not 17 and wear a size extra small then you're pretty well screwed...and imho it's probably a LOT worse for women
i go to Moores to purchase dress pants etc etc...good quality at reasonable prices

and i'm happy to say that i haven't worn a suit in over 30 years

I wear whatever i look good in. SOmetimes its a $10 shirt at walmart. Sometimes its a $80 pair of jeans at Le Chatteau.
My main concern is not announcing to the world where i bought the shirt. LIke say some of the brands do. I.E. Bench, Burton, Echo, Tapout lol, etc.
Their trademark take sup the whole front of thier clothes, its actually quite hilarious to see these garments.

Hahhh, i'm 6'1" 225 (was 210 until about a year ago )so i hear ya. The only things i buy there are polo's and some of their shorts/jeans. I know what to look for in there and what to avoid (which is 80-90% of their stuff).
