This is brilliant. Especially the way they created some of the sounds. Sampling in it's very, very, most primitave form.

Also thank you Richard Wright for introducing the #9 chord to rock music.

One of my favourite albums. That documental is really good too. How they did "On the Run" is amazing. One of the first electronic songs ever. If not the first.

I can't stand The Wall.

I think Meddle is great though.

Never being a fan of The Wall either. Too much Roger Waters for me. I love some of the songs in it though.

Even if I like Dark side more, I have always though that Wish You Were Here is their best album.

I like piper at the gates of dawn the most.

I also really like Syd Barrett's solo work.

I don't really like too much post-Barrett Pink Floyd. I can appreciate it and definitely acknowledge it as "good" music, but i'm not a big fan. I have DSOTM, but that's it.

'Dark Side of the Moon' was true concept albums something that you don't see any more... they released it on this day 36 years ago and, although, it was #1 for only one week it stayed on the charts well over 700 weeks... that's more then 14 years.

i know this may not be the most popular choice, but imo this is an incredible concept album as well.

How do you get to be deemed a "concept album" anyway?

i assume when some or most of the songs on the album are an integral part of a common objective.
(god that sounds "off," but you know what i mean).

I never actually thought od Dark Side of Moon to be a concept album, butagain i don't know it inside out, so i may be missing something.

Not sure if it is considered a conect album, but the Zombie's Oddyssey and Oracle is up there.

The Wall suffers from some reeeeally bad sound engineering.
