2008 US Election

I know, I know ... why on earth did I start a thread to discuss American politics, but for whatever reason as sad as it might be I find American politics far more interesting and intriguing than Canadian politics. :(

At this point, who do you think will be the next American President this fall and why?

*I'll list who are considered the Top 5 from both the Democratic and Republican parties*

Belsius 01-10-2008 04:50 PM

It will be Obama, at least thats what I wish compared to the other crap. Not smart to start a discussion about politics man, only thing people get carried away in a discussion more than in sports. If people cant agree in sports, in politics its imposible.

Belsius 01-10-2008 04:55 PM

But I dont know if nothing will really change, but anything is better than the GOP. Obama seems like a sicere guy that will really try to make a difference. Who knows, its hard to trust any of this guys, even if they look sincere, what I hate is this campining shit. it makes the decent guy7s look like assholes

Krazy Ivan 01-10-2008 05:01 PM

Except that Hillary is sometimes in skirt there is no difference between any of them... well maybe Kucinich is OK but he has no chance...

IMHO Democrats will lose because of their candidate... it is impossible for most of religious, racist middle Americans to vote for either black man or woman so, probably, less consecrative Republican candidate will win...

Belsius 01-10-2008 05:14 PM

yeah thats what I though too. If a radical republican wins, Obama wins,
If a moderate conservative wins, GOP wins.
And I cant stand Kucinich, hes more to the left but he looks like such an hipocrite demagogue(its that how its spelled?)

Benzo 01-10-2008 05:42 PM

Ummm where the fuck is Rudy...

..I like guys like him....Economics to the right...Social to the left....

More importantly they are insanly more interesting...I get excited for caucus days.

Belsius 01-10-2008 05:57 PM

I cant stand giulani man, he is the worst of them all, I even prefer Romney, well... no.
I hate how he trys to look like a hero when he fucked up everywhere pre and post 9/11. Another hypocrite IMO.

Ummm..sure I guess...9/11 was a fuck up for everyone...but no doubt he was a "leader" for the city.

Aside from that though, he cleaned up NY pretty good...Is fiscally responible and "was" pro-choice, and could give two shits if gays want to get married..

Pretty much in line with my stance.

its probably a good thing that most of the religious, racist middle Americans are republicans anyway... so it doesnt even matter really.

the republicans have locked up the redneck america already, so the democrats dont relaly care about them.

JattDogg 01-10-2008 06:57 PM

where the fuck is arnold? haha ya i know he is not allowed to run....
but...i think hillary will win in the end.

All I can say is that if Obama wins, that dude better have the tightest security ever...and drive around in a Popemobile. As a brother to another brother, watch your back man! Too many crazy southerners! Call Chuck D and see if you can borrow S1W, Professor Griff could probably use a few bucks...
