They should just continue to play through commercials, lol. That way the fans at the game get to see the whole thing.

if anything it's the reverse...over a smaller schedule there would be more margin for error and a greater chance of less talented teams being able to put together a run sufficient enough to get into the playoffs.

I thought the idea behind the no commercials is to have the announcers banter during the breaks? Good banter about the game at hand is a lot better than commercials.
