Lightbulb Your Most Memorable Moment being a Basketball Fan

So since I'm stuck at work till 8:30 this christmas eve, Being the slacker that I am I've been watching youtube basketball clips all night...

From Incredible playoff performances, to NBA fights, to incredible dunks.

And I got curious... What's your most Memorable / Favourite moment being a NBA fan (Raptors moments welcome aswell considering this is a Raptors forum).

I'll list my top 3 ranked in order:

1. GSW upset of the 67-15 Dallas Mavericks in the '06-'07 NBA playoffs in the 1st round.

2. 2000-2001 Raptors 1'st and 2'nd round play off series.

3. Vince Carter demolishing everyone in the Dunk Competition druing the 2000 All Star weekend (We may all hate Vince, but how exciting was it to have 2 Raptors in the dunk competition)

1. Magic Johnson hook shot to beat the Celtics in Game 4 of the '87 Finals.

2. Alvin Williams jumpshot to put the Raps a head for good against the Knicks in Game 5 of the '01 playoffs.

3. Magic schools two huge tools.

1. KG winning his ring. His post game interview was too much. Hes by far my favorite player and seeing him so miserable in MIN then going to BOS last year and completely turning that team around and being the main cog in why they won and the excitement in winning it is easily my favorite basketball moment.

2. Horrys 3 at the buzzer. Biggest adrenaline rush in watching basketball for sure.

3. Tmacs 13 in 35. In. Credible. 2nd biggest adrenaline pumping play ever for me.

4. Boshs 3 to tie it vs Houston in his rookie year. I was at the game and the crowd just exploded on one side of the arena and was quiet on my side where all the azns were sitting. It was really cool to see and an amazing play. Raptors won in double OT.

5. Brandon Roys shot at the buzzer this year. Amazing play by Yao for the 3 pt play, then I was all ready to go to bed once the .8 was done and I woke up the house at 130 in the morning after it splashed.

The 06/07 GS playoff run was absolutely intense.
The GS crowd was incredible. The shots they hit were impossible. The things they did in that series was just BEAUTIFUL to watch

3. "The shot" - Michael Jordan against the Jazz
4. The Raptors winning game five
5. T-Mac's 13 in 33.

Hmmm.... in no particular order...

- TMac's 13 in 35.

- Larry Johnson's 4-pt play in the playoffs.

- Wade shooting 65% against the Pistons for a series in the playoffs.

- Lebron scoring his team's last 29 points to win against DET in the playoffs.

- Fisher's buzzer beater against the Spurs with 0.4 left.

- VC's windmill dunk to put the game away against the Bucks (when he scored 47)... 1 day after he was left off the dream team in favour of Ray Allen.

- VC's 7 treys in a row against PHI in the 1st half of a 2001 playoff game.

- Donyell's 13 treys against PHI.

LJ's play was bogus. AD never even touched him.

Either a lot of you guys have short memories or you haven't been watching ball that long.

Seeing that most people here were too young to watch ball in the '80's you're probably right. lol.

I was at game 6 vs the Sixers, do or die game baby!! Was in the back row of the lower bowl, awesome tickets really, because you can stand for the whole game, we had a group of about 6 Sixers fans 2 rows in front of us, like 10 of us just heckling them, telling em Iverson is a wanksta, Sixers suck, blah blah blah, they were into aswell, was very fun. We also started a A.D chant, a bullshit chant and a MoPete chant, its pretty awesome to have just like 10 guys saying it, then hearing it catch on and then suddenly 20k ppl saying it!!!

We even heckled the Sixers fans on the way out, nothing personal, just fun sports kind shit talk, they were like "yea, you will see in Philly", glad i never saw them again :P

Man, how could I forget Mo Petes miracle. I was at my friends place with like 5 other buddies there and my dad called from out of town to see what the score was. I told him we were down 3 and we were going to tie it up and send it into ot then I hung up.

I think that was one of the biggest adrenaline rushes ever. Seeing the bad pass and thinking its over then Mo hitting that shot. I broke my friends glasses after a chest bump gone wrong and I couldnt speak for 2 days because I was screaming. Man that was fantastic.

Favourite basketball moment that wasn't NBA related. My 38 points during a game in my last year of high school basketball against the league's top school from Perth. I couldn't be stopped and couldn't miss beyond the arc. 8 three pointers that game.

Favourite NBA moment? Still has to be Vince at the slam dunk contest back in 2000. Still amazes me to this day.
