1. Sabonis.
2. Sarunas Marciulionis.
3. Arturas Karnisovas.
4. Sarunas Jasikevicius.
5. Jonas Valanciunas.

Yep!

Ok, if I wasn't so fair and impartial, it would be
1. Sabonis.
2. Bird.
3. Ginobili.
4. Steve Nash.
5. Hakeem.
But I kind of want Dejan Bodiroga and KG on that list too.

Some interesting names on these lists (and some predictable ones).

I'm kinda surprised no one has mentioned Jason Kidd (or maybe have and I missed them). You look at what he did in his career and how he was an immediate triple double and it's pretty amazing. Also, I don't think I saw Scottie Pippen anywhere. Interesting. Maybe he really did live in MJ's shadow.

<3 Extras (re your avatar)

Pippen, Kidd - fun, but hard to put them in the top 5.
Personally, I tend to love players whose game is not athleticism based. I dont mean stiffs -- Hakeem or young Sabonis are very athletic, and so is Nash in a way. But that athleticism often goes into background with them because they are so talented besides it.
Like, Hakeem could have 3 blocks in a row with his feet barely leaving the ground.
When it comes to younger guys, I love watching James Harden for that same reason. Great athlete, but he dominates some quarters on skills alone, sometimes you don't even notice how explosive he is.
I guess it's easier to relate to that.
Pippen, younger Kidd - very talented and skilled, but to me they are in LeBron's category. Physical superiority showing up in every move, more aliens than humans.

Remember when MJ retired, Pippen was so awesome that year.... a real pleasure to watch.... good pull.

AH! Nice to see someone else who recognizes how truly good Arturas Karnisovas was! Watching him play @ Seton Hall (Under PJ Carlesimo back then) when I was a teenager, I was so sure he'd be a top-15 pick in '94! IIRC he didn't even get drafted! WTF! Dude could play D, shoot the ball, and play both forward spots AND the off-guard!

Hmmmm, among all-star caliber players, I guess my top 5 all-time favourite is as follows:

1) Chris Bosh
1a) Dirk Nowitski
3) Vince Carter
4) Steve Nash
5) Hakeem Olajuwon

Edit- Honorable Mention goes to Kobe Bryant. Damn Laker.

Kobe Bryant
Arvydas Sabonis
Sarunas Jasikevicius
Linas Kleiza
Andrey Kirilenko

If I could chose a player to be, I would pick Kirilenko. He might not be the best player in the world, but the way he plays is so beautiful, I could watch him play 24/7. He does the hard work and does it briliant! Blocks, steals! He is spectacular in offence - dunks, assists and even 3pointers! He's an universal soldier, can play in all 5 positions, I bet he even can coach if he wants to. I love the way he moves

Agreed on Kirilenko.
It's especially amazing to watch him in FIBA ball that's less restrictive defensively. I mean, where you are allowed to use more weapons as a defender.
And generally, a team where he's restricted less and takes on a bigger role and can roam freely both on defense and offense, it's a treat to see him play.
It's a shame he never got a Manu-like role in an NBA team during his prime.
