Youngest player...

to ten thousand points scored.... like my boy Jay Z once said "you are now tuned to the motherfucking greatest!!" EL REY!!

Smaller gratz to KG on 11k rebounds, pretty sick too.

Beat Kobe to the mark by a full year. Hate it or love it the underdogs on top ;)

Sickest part, he is 23, i mean GOD DAMN IT HOW CRAZY IS THAT, HE IS ONLY 23!! HAHAHA This is just the beginning, you guys refer to Bargs as so young and time will do this and that for him... Bosh will only get better etc, El Rey is only 23, im sure almost every1 knew it, but its easy to 4get watching him. Its insanity, esp since he is way more complete player this year then last, imagine him at 27, he will be the greatest ever to play this game, book it!! (let the haters come out)

Acie 02-28-2008 07:34 AM

I magine him at 30 when his body is broken down a la McGrady. ;)

BTW, there's about a 90% chance he'll never be greater than Magic Johnson or even Oscar Robinson for that matter...

fancylad 02-28-2008 07:43 AM

I saw highlites of the Cavs and Celtics. too bad cleveland fans. too bad.

INSIDER 02-28-2008 09:36 AM

lebron only beat kobe by a year, and i'm not defending kobe, but bryant's first 2 years in the league he avg'd 15 minutes and 26 minutes per game respectively.
he wasnt a starter until half way through his second year.
in his first year he only got to play 15 minutes and only managed 7 ppg.
Lebron on the other hand was a 35+ minute a game player since day one.
so i'm pretty sure if kobe got those same minutes, he'd have beat him to 10,000.
but thats just my take.

but here we are squabling over this guy again..... and i'll admit, i hate him.
i'll be hapy when his career is over and he retires sans a championship ring.

Ball Don't Lie 02-28-2008 01:02 PM

Too bad his team lost, he shot like shit, and hes an arrogant POS whos never gonna win anything.

IggyPosterizes 02-28-2008 04:50 PM

^lebron has a way greater chance of winning a championship than Bosh winning "greatest raptor of all time".

This kid is the real deal, and I would most certainly bet my house that you would trade him for bosh any day of the week. Cut the jealousy and the hatred and just learn to appreciate greatness.

Claudius 02-28-2008 05:07 PM

Actually I wouldn't deal Bosh for LeBron. Why? It's harder to find a good big than it is to find a stud SF/SG. That being said, I'd only trade Bosh for Kobe but that my opinion. I think LeBron is a great player but as a team guy, something just irks me about him.

Homerism at its finest, im sorry you would have to be clinically insane not to pull the trigger on a one for one deal Bosh for James.

Face it, he has recieved more hype and more hate then any1 in the history of this game coming in his rookie year, not only has he reponded to it, he is one of the top players in the world at 23. As for every saying he wont get a ring... i mean he is 23... haha to even say that is just plain dumb, great players without rings will migrate to this kid like flys to shit in the future.

As for Kobe its true he got less min, but he wasnt nearly as hyped as the King and he could never take his team deep just himself like the King has already done, Kobe won with the most dominant Centre of this era by his side, the team was pretty weak since but now he has 2 more dominant bigs b4 he is a real contender again. Meanwhile this "team" guy wanted to be traded when the going go tough, bitched and moaned all he could.

As for the king not being a team guy? Maybe u guys have it twisted, he LOVES to drop dimes, HE IS AN AMAZING PASSER, he wants guy to pass to. He might also at 23 be the best take it to the rim player ive ever seen, if not the best damn close, his only weakness is taking too many long jumpers and 3s and having a poor percentage doing so, but im willing to bet anything that this will improve like everything else in his game.

He may not be as good as Magic or Oscar when its all said and done... but just putting him in that sentence alone is u admitting at 23 he is in the discussion so you prove my point for me.

Never gonna win a ring?? Lol at 23 he took a pretty bad team to the finals, thats crazy talk esp from a guy that worships KG a guy who couldnt take better teams to the finals..

Bow Down when the King comes to your town :D

Acie 02-28-2008 10:50 PM

Get back to me when he as a 20 year old starts at center in Game Six of the Finals and records 42 points, 15 rebounds, 7 assists and 3 steals and leads his team to a Championship and is named Finals MVP. ;)

Again, Magic is one of the 5 best ever, but he was also blessed to be on a very talented team the min he got there. But i dont mind giving props to magic or having lebron in the same conversation as another one of my fav players ever :)

For me personally, I just think for all of his physical attributes, he's lacking in smarts/awareness or that just thing (I can't quite describe it) that makes a guy really truly great and I could very well be wrong, but only time will tell.

i dont know what more he can do at this age with that team, but dont worry the best is yet to come. Besides when he plays the raptors, you should really watch this kid, his passing is so unbelieveable and he really does want to pass 1st on many occassions but realizes he needs to take a boatload of shots for this team to win.

of course he get 6 assists per game...
the guy is the ONLY offensive threat that team has...he'll get doubled or triple teamed, so when he passes out of the pressure, his teamate is left with a wide open jumper.
its not rocket science.

the guy has the ball in his hands at least 75 % of the game... he better be putting up good stats.

he's a monster of an athlete, a freak of nature... but he seems as dumb as a door nob, IMO.
if he had half of the brain or smarts magic had, then he'd be worthy of all this recognition.

he's good. but needs to mature IMO.
he'll continue to put up 28/6/6 or whatever he does... then he'll snap one day and do the same thing kobe did (request a trade)... he was "this" close this season to really ripping the cavs management into pieces... so i dont think its a stretch to say he'll be there one day.

Thanks for the heads up, but I've watched him play plenty of times - other teams too, not just the Raps.:bonk: There is no doubting he is a phenomenal player and for the record I would trade him for Chris Bosh, but I'm just not sure about him....maybe it's because everytime there's a close-up of him on the bench he's chomping on his nails. lol

wow! does the guy need a PHd in your books to not be considered a door Knob, this kid is smart enough to pick even the toughest defense apart.

Smarts come with age and experience and at 23 he certainly has the capability and the smarts to become top 5 greatest.

Would you please care to explain to me how you consider this kid dumb?
...and how is he immature? is it because he is so passionate about winning? If you want to see immature, go check out the team they got over there in NY, with Randolph and Robinson, or better yet go check out Carmelo who is over a year older, but yet already has an in-game brawl under his belt.

Name me another 23 yr old who is more dedicated and passionate about the sport more than lebron, and dont you dare even mention bosh?......dont worry..i'll wait...

Acie 02-29-2008 08:18 AM

Chris Paul

IggyPosterizes 02-29-2008 09:08 AM

third on my list, I'd put him slightly above (although 24) Derron Williams, but significantly under lebron and dwight.

INSIDER 02-29-2008 09:23 AM

oh fuck.... how dare i call lebron dumb... how dare i question his maturity....?
instead of me writing a full page report for you Mrs. Iggy, why dont you explain to me how you consider this kid smart?...and how is he so mature?
because he says so in his commercials?
maybe its the fact that he looks like he's 35.

IggyPosterizes 02-29-2008 09:28 AM

wtf read my last post and you'll see why I dont think he's dumb or immature.

You'd have to reach a level of maturity in order to win 3 playoff series in only your third year. Your hatred towards this kid is baffling, must have did something to you?

INSIDER 02-29-2008 09:37 AM

so his passion about winning makes him mature? and smart?
i love sex and food with a passion.... i must be a genius then.

No one here has questioned his skill...
i think the kid is unbelievable. and for the record, i'd trade bosh for him in a second...

all i'm questioning is his attitude, his smarts, his maturity.
i'll give him the benefit of the doubt and say he's only 23, so he's got alot of learning ahead of him.
to me, i just dont care for the guy because he seems like a premadonna, ego maniac.
its all about "me" with that guy.
if you dont see that, then you're on the other side of the fence and we'll never see eye to eye no matter what i say.
