Rockets Yao to be traded?

I know Yahoo! has reported it. Fox is reporting it too.

Quote:
League sources said five or six teams have reached out to the Rockets expressing interest in Yao's contract. Any team would be responsible for the remainder of his contract, with the Rockets receiving salary cap flexibility and/or a player in return.

However, all talks with other NBA teams about a potential deal are in the early stages.

The Rockets have not ruled out re-signing the tallest player in the NBA, who stands at 7 feet 6 inches. The team is waiting on information they receive from their doctors, sources said.

If the Rockets were to trade Yao, they would consider trying to bring him back to the franchise this summer after he becomes a free agent.

Yao is a walking business opportunity. My money is that MLSE is trying to do everything they can to get Yao here.

Yeah, Chinese would be crazy.
I want to see Yao in Raptors mascot uniform. He would look like T-Rex.

If he can stay healthy and actually play, it would be pretty fun to see Yao play in TO. At least we'd have something new to look forward to seeing a Raps game. Besides, an inside presence is something we need BAD.

I was just watching some Yao highlights from a few years ago when he was healthy, and idk why but I really wanna see him play again and try and stay healthy. (Even though I know he's probably not going to be as good as he used to)

Of course, MJ.

The Rockets have discussed Yao Ming with the Kings and Bobcats, according to Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle.

Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reported on Monday afternoon that Houston was shopping the All-Star center.

Sacramento has the sort of young talent that Houston would seek as part of any deal, while Charlotte would likely have to include coveted draft picks in addition to players.

The Kings are against trading rookie DeMarcus Cousins, despite concerns about his character and the team's rough start.

Nothing is imminent, with a trade much more likely around February's deadline.

If Morey can get something good out of Yao, that will be another feather in his cap as one of the better GMs in the league.
