Interesting. NY needs a Point Guard badly, and Deron and Amare would be killer. NJ just plain sucks. Although Melo going there could attract good players.

NY should absolutely do this. Deron is the best PG in the game.

No brainer for N.Y. IMO.

Melo's a horrible fit for them.

Remember a while back ago, when Carmelo bitch slapped that one Knick, then Melo peeled back like a pansy because he didn't want to get his face scratched? I don't think that incident was considered when trading for Melo. Knick fans saw first hand what kind've player they would be paying half their stack.

I believe that Knick was 5'6...not that it matters.

The Knicks should definitely make that trade, but I'm not sure I would make that deal if I was the Nets. I think Anthony is the most overrated player in the game. IMO, he's not a franchise player but better suited as the #2 guy on a team.

Either way Melo is tossing up 30+ shots per game.

Carmelo Anthony does not play for the Knicks; his evil twin Chuckelo Anthony does. He's not the same player he was when Denver took L.A to 6 games in the Western Conference Finals.

Amnestying Chauncy Billups now looks like a disastrous decision for New York. Chandler is overpaid. Dallas is playing better defense without Chandler. New York looks no better on defense with Chandler, and without Billups, the Knicks offense has no discipline. Just turrible.

This trade might actually be a step back in the right direction for New York. And, with a fresh start in New Jersey, maybe the old Carmelo could come back.

It's actually a no-brainer for both teams...... Deron is the best PG in a game and it's clear NY needs one..... and Melo is signed for more years and NJ isn't guaranteed anything from Deron.

Dude is sort of polishing turds in NJ. I mean, so far, rookie Marshan Brooks is probably the Nets best option after D-Will. He does not have a lot to work with. He might have been overrated in the past...maybe, but he is still a sexy PG.

Would Melo even play for willingly play for NJ? I don't see it, but maybe I just have a negative image of Melo's personality/attitude...

Well they are apparently moving to Brooklyn next year or something so it shouldn't matter much. I'm sure Melo would prefer to stay with the Knicks however. They actually still have more talent then the Nets do. After D-Will there is actually nobody on that team I would wanna have.
