Contract dumping for Minnesota or highway robbery for Washington? Little bit of both? The fifth pick isn't that big of a deal when you're getting two players like that.

This means Foye can play the one, and Arenas can switch to the two, which should benefit Washington. If Arenas can stay healthy, Washington's going to make some serious noise come playoff time.

Why not Foye at the 2 and Arenas at the 1?
Miller off the bench?

I think Caron will be starting @ 2.. and mike miller @ 3.

arenas/butler/miller/jamison/haywood

I'd rather have foye off the bench instead of miller.

5th and 6th pick for the wolves? I think they might be hoping Rubio drops to them at 5 or they get Evans or Curry. Now they don't have a good swingman..... Hopefully they're not looking at DeRozan.

Washington won't need to worry about scoring next season.

minny's got the 5th and 6th now... they can lock in on a couple of guys and not have to chose which one is more important. derozan is indeed a possibility, but this also gives them the chance to get hill, or if he goes earlier, one of those top 4 guys that are getting most of the attention. for a rebuilding team, that's a great thing. they're going to suuuuuck this year tho.

Default Minnesota with the 5th and 6th picks... who do they take?

My guess a PG and SG... Rubio/Evans and DeRozan? That trade doesn't bode well for the raps and getting a SG in the draft... a PG it is!

Bad trade for Min...this team doesnt need more youth....Raps may move down instead of wasting the 9th for a back up point

I imagin the are trying to get Hill because you need to have 2 bigs to battle the world champs even if your rebuilding...

It's alote to give up for the 5th pick.

Wizards Wizards deal #5 for Randy Foye, Mike Miller, E. Thomas, Songaila, Pecherov

RealGM: Basketball Wiretap Archives: Wizards Get Foye And Miller For 5th Pick

Wizards make out like bandits IMO. Foye alone is worth the #5, then they get Miller AND dump Songaila/Pecherov? Pwnage. They won't be playing defense next year, but they'll be a-scoring.

I think Rubio is going to be a TWolf. They wouldn't do a deal this lopsided unless they were desperate and had no other choice. Rubio/Jefferson/Love is sick no matter how you got there

Even though I dont like him, I dont think theyre going to get a better player than Foye at the 5th pick. And Miller didnt work out for them because hes a winner playing on a shit team but hes still a damn good player. Good trade for WAS though it seems theyre stacked at the guard position at the moment, but it gives them good leverage to trade some pieces to possibly get a primetime guy.

Wasn't there rumours about Minnesota trying to get the 5th pick so they can trade both picks to Memphis so they can get Rubio?

They have enough bigs especially PFs: Love, Jefferson (his natural position is PF), Carney, and Criag Smith.

Carney is a SF. Smith is a solid backup and will remain that way but they have to figure out what theyre going to do with Love, maybe start him the next 2 years then deal him because you cant start two 6'9 guys no matter how good they are. Its a step in the right direction if they can get Rubio now, theyll get the fans back and they have some chips to trade too.
