Cavs Wiretap: Lebron injury worse then reported, he shouldn't be playing

Quote:
According to a report on BallinEurope.com, the injury to LeBron James' right elbow is "way worse than is generally known" and the Cavs' superstar should not be playing in his present condition.

"A source close to the Cleveland Cavaliers who wished to remain anonymous has admitted that LeBron James should not [be] playing with his injury in its current state," the report reads. "Apparently, the damage is enough that the right arm of King James ... is having great difficulty in carrying anything heavier than a basketball."

The report is from an affiliate of ESPN's TrueHoop Network but cannot be independently verified.

I would not even be surprised to see Lebron's career cut short, not necessarily because of this injury, or anytime soon, but the guy plays such a physical game. He's constantly banging against people at high speeds, so much of his scoring is the result of brute force, it's just not the style of play that leads to longevity. He could prove me wrong, but his stats just seem too good to be true, meaning I don't see how those kinds of numbers are sustainable, at least not the way he gets them.

But he's built like a tank, a player who's career can be cut short is someone like Chris Paul's or Dwayne Wade's who are smaller lighter guards who play physical by running into crowded paint areas and getting hit hard with contact to try and get fouls, we see this alot with PGs in the past, TJ Ford for example and now we see monta Ellis as well, who's career is slowly becoming injury riddled.

yet he's still scoring 30+.....
when i first read the title it made me think of Grant Hill.
remember when he played on that destroyed ankle of his for detroit during their playoff run?
the team didnt say shit... they wanted him to play... and he did, even though he shouldnt have.
next thing he realizes after the playoffs are over is that he was playing on a broken ankle that the doctors failed to diagnose and that its pretty much torn to shit.
that was pretty much his career.... although he is now in the midst of a fantastic comeback in phoenix.

thanks to the medical staff in PHX who seem to fix older players and let them have longer carrers

At some point in his career hes definitely going to have to learn to play like Kobe or MJ. Hes way to physical to keep it going.

The story is construed by Lebron's publicity machine, the NBA.

MJ learned, Kobe learned. Lebron is as smart a basketball player as either guy, maybe moreso. He'll get it. He still has a few years of freakishly athletic domination left, the man is four years away from his prime.
