Wilson Chandler to sign long term deal with Denver
Well, thats that. Figured that's why NeNe was dealt..... :frustrated:

Just going up now online at ESPN: Sources say Nuggets close to long-term deal with restricted free agent Wilson Chandler

Final parameters are still being discussed, sources said, but one scenario on the table is a five-year deal worth in excess of $30 million with a team option in the fifth year

^ We couldn't do better than that? :confused2:

Essentially, which makes sense. Now i have to say, they had a great day if this gets done.

I really dont understand why Wilson Chandler and JR Smith crippled their own production by going to teams where they're not going to get near the pt they need to consistantly produce nightly. Especially with Chandler who struggled off the bench last year in DEN.

Too bad......I was thinking with the dumping of Barbosa there might have been enough cap space to make Chandler an offer

I'm not really sad that we didn't sign him. Good on Denver

for 5 years 30m give or take?

Windex 03-15-2012 09:42 PM

Denver is deeper than they were yesterday
Dudes can play up tempo all game now

That price is actually reasonable. Not 8-9 mil/season many here were ready to pay him. Still, the question of why he'd want to play in Denver is a valid one.

LOG 03-15-2012 10:15 PM

Oh well.. :mischief:

jeffb 03-15-2012 10:21 PM

Makes me wonder what we were prepared to offer him......MLE type of money? Maybe the length of the contract was something BC wasn't comfortable with. Maybe Chandler wanted more to play here then what he wanted in Denver or in the US in general.

MrClutch 03-15-2012 11:56 PM

I didnt expect him to be paid 6 mill. Denver made a good deal

javal mcgee is one of the most physically gifted athletes the nba has ever seen the unfortunate part of this is that he is also one of the lowest basketball i.qs in the history of the nba,

which leads to running up the court while your team is trying to run a play on offense, or trying to dunk the ball like your michael jordan but come up short because you took off to far back

bad trade, of course you over paid for nene but not by much, i think he is worth 10 to 12 mill a year, he is dominating on offense at times

by they good job washington geting rid of bad chemistry guys who care about themselves, and receiving a true big who is also a great teammate and a leader
