You don't trade a guy like Westbrook cause he's passionate/emotional and wants to win and gets on his team mates about doing what they're supposed to. Though the Raps could use a player(s) like that, OKC would be foolish to even entertain it IMHO.

I just hope OKC would be that foolish, or think they won't be able to afford him, or think Maynor will do the same job. The money thing for them is a legitimate concern though.

In a 30 team league...30 teams....how often does that type of talent at PG even get a glimmer of being available. I'm going to start rumors in OKC that Westbrook's been running dog fights or burning wheat fields.

Lol! +1. In all honesty though, are best shot is going for Rubio, He's the future allstar, I just don't know how we're going to get him or who we'd be trading him for

That only matters if HE wants to stay in Minny. He could easily choose to leave when his rookie contract is up.

Might be one time where Toronto has an edge over a US city.

Re: Westbrook... He'd probably be ideal as a SG rather than a PG. His decision-making still makes me cringe.

As with OKC, Minny would be insane to let Rubio walk, the kid is the real deal and it's only a matter of time when he starts games. If minny keeps winning see Rubio stay imo - especially (and I'm sure he will) if he qualifies for the Rose rule on extensions. Money + Winning + Adelman = staying

Yup, watching the game now, he makes so many bad choices. It's like he wants to do it all himself and prove that KD isn't the best on that team.

OKC wasn't even giving him up to get in the Chris Paul sweepstakes, they're not suddenly changing their mind after a few bad games and a media flamed non-fight.

The Twolves refused to trade Rubio WHEN HE WAS TRAPPED IN SPAIN. Now that he's over here and playing well they're going to move him? Dreaming is nice but you would have to pillage our team to convince either of those teams to move their guy.

You guys are crazy... we should be calling LAC, they have Billups so they'd probably be willing to move Chris Paul for dirt cheap.

I think OKC should wait to see if they can make it to the Finals this season. If they can't then I think they should deal him.

Westbrook's AST/TO ratio is less than 1 right now (0.96).

For a starting PG that's pretty horrid. He has to pull his head out of his ass.

You dont trrade for westbrook, you sign him outright.

is he worth 18 million?

You grab him, and you HAVE to amnesty calderon...fine, thats more than ok, but now you have 2 million left to add those other pesky pieces, like a starting center, an actual 3 guard who can play (could be gotton in the draft)

But wait.

Toronto has Val.

MAYBE there is a shred of hope there????

I like Westbrook. He's a tough kid.

No, but he'd get us a pick or two or a prospect I suppose. AA is no longer farting rainbows.

Lol. Maybe. But I think that's awesome trade for OKC. Rondo is a very smart player and a floor general. That's something the thunder need and Westbrook is the opposite of that. It's not a trade that I'd immediately make, but it's definitely something I would strongly consider going forward. Rondo is a better defender and would run that offence to perfection. His transition game is ridiculous too. Only thing you really miss is shooting but I think they'd be fine.

You trying to troll me right now lol? Because this trade was already discussed at length in another thread. In fact, weren't you one of the guys giving me shit because I said as much earlier?

I never discussed a Rondo vs. Westbrook debate. I was specifically talking about Chris Paul vs. Rondo and saying he's not a on Paul/Rose/D-Will's level. I repect Rondo somewhat, but I just think he's a little overrated. That doesn't mean he's not good, and for OKC, he's just a better fit than Westbrook IMO.
