Paul is pretty near to bryant IMO. But bryant should win cause he has been more consitant than Paul this season. Paul wasnt so good before the All - Star break. And after 12 years of almost getting it he deserves it.
Its also a reward for finally learning to make his team better.

Chris Paul.

Second best record in the West and I think he means more to that team than the others mean to their respective teams (that's not to undermine the other guys talent and contributions to their teams).

kobe

he should have won it the past couple of season. now that the whole rape issue is completely behind him, he should be awarded what is due.

Its all up to interpretation. CP3 means more to his team because they basically run every play through him but Kobes the best player on the best team in the West.

I was leaning Paul but after the Lakers beat the Hornets that sorta swayed my opinion a bit. Kobes just dominant, I dont think CP3 is quite there yet, hes close though. Its so hard to not give it to a guy averaging 22+11.5 on 50% at the PG position though, thats the best PG year since who? Stockton a while back?

to be fair, i'd give it to Kobe.
the guy has taken this lakers team to new heights.
shaq who? everyone said kobe wasnt a winner without Oneal and he's making those people eat crow now.
the guy is the best player in the league hands down.
he scores at will, plays solid on both sides of the court and he posseses that desire to win unlike anyone else.

i want it to be chris paul, and i think he'll win it in the end, but kobe does deserve it.
CP has a good case though, he's brought this pack of second tier players into stardom... he's made chandler a top tier Center... he's made david west an all star.... he's even helped bring peja back into a very solid second string allstar. overal he's done things over there in N'Orleans that i would have thought impossible this time last year... they are flirting with being the best in the west! who couldve predicted that..? and its all due to him. and thats damn impressive.

I'd have no problem with Kobe winning it too.

However I don't think him not winning it in the past when he deserved it should have any influence.

wait a second!

paul isnt making anyone into stars! he plays with an amazing cast of players. yes, he's the glue, but give credit where credit is due.

true, but If you have two players that have been equally good (IMO kobe has really been better but not to other people). I think the older one that has almost won it many times should get it.

CP3. Him alone is what makes the Hornets go.

jumpman hasn't come online to state his case for Kobe yet. Maybe he can convince those who haven't voted yet to vote Kobe.

I'm torn on this one. I want to vote for both CP and Kobe. In my opinion could we see a co-MVP?

that's because brian scalabrine developed into the star he is!

i don't think kg should be up for consideration. the three of ray allen, kg and pp have been equally impressive imo

Yeah but Pierce was there last year and Allen not so great this year.. he was injured for a time and he played OK but not great... also Celtics gave away almost all of their players...

IMHO... you remove KG from Celtics and they are not even in the playoffs... not even close.

Kobe, the guy hasn't even won one yet and it'll be pretty neat to win it this year. I've always been a fan of him and I hope he wins it.
