Who's The Best True Point Guard In The East Currently?
Hey guys what's your opinion on who the best east point guard is right now?
I was looking at the west and right now they have the best point guards in the league.
Derrick Rose (More of a Scorer)
Gilbert Arenas (More of a SG)
To be honest looking at the east Jose should be the best point guard if he's healthy and he's also more of a playmaker rather then a scorer.
Anyways what's your opinion on who the best east traditional point guard is?
P.S. I meant Traditional not true.

Cross between Rondo and Jose I think.
Assists and shooting goes to Jose(although assists are only 0.5 better per game average)(But Rondo had ALOT more options on his team than Jose)
Defense is in favour of Rondo.

wow, the east is a much weaker conference for PGs by a large margin... i never really noticed.
i'd have to say Rondo, Rose, Harris, Jose...
Rose will break out this season for sure, and will take the reigns as the PG of the East. Rondo will continue to have another solid season, and Harris will dominate over in NJ. out of all, i see Harris having the biggest statistical year, but his team will probably win 15 games, so who cares.
Jose should destroy each of them in assists.
10 isnt that impossible.

In that case, Lebron James (more of a SF) would be the best point guard in the league--he does all the things that PGs do (high ast avg) + a healthy dose of rebounds and blocks.
(Hey, he actually plays the 1 99% of the time in games unless you actually think MWill is a PG.)

What's the difference between a true PG and a PG in general?
I'm curious here. If a guy shoots more, he's still facilitating the offence if he's the team's best offensive weapon. If there are better scorers on the squad then obviously he must defer. But they're still doing the same job.
Anyways my list:

Overall Best PG's in the east:
I'm guessing true PG= Great Facilitator, takes care of the ball, unselfish, team guy, does many things well.
