Moon... Green.... and Francis when he was still playing.

Biggest wastes of talent that I've ever seen.

Kwame Brown, Stromile Swift, Gerald Green.

As far as B-Ball IQ goes, Zach Randolph is sort of a 50/50 - he did have a great season in Portland where he averaged 20/10. A player with a poor B-Ball IQ couldn't do that, however I will agree that his IQ in general might be really damn low.

This isnt the players regressing thread. This is the low bball IQ thread, neither qualify.

How so? In Mos prime years he was a very solid 1 on 1 and team defender and even got on the boards a little bit, and he knew how to space the floor and come off of screens to get shots.

Kapono has terrible foot speed and no handle, but he still understands the game and tries to get to the right spots on defence, hes just slow. Kapono often makes the right passes when he doesnt travel or dribble it off his foot, thats not something players with low BBALL IQ do.

when zach was with the blazer they were the jail blazers and had NO ONE on the team...it was zachs one man show, out for himself, dont need too much bball iq when ur right next to the basket jacking up close to 20 shots a game...also he's pretty ghetto so he knows how to do the 'dirty' work in getting boards, once again dont need too much bball iq for that...
if zach had basketball iq he would have a better assist/to ratio...
like you said he had a great season meaning he is talented but a little light in the cabesa....

kwame brown and stromile swift just flat out suck, they have no game what so ever so its kinda hard to judge a players basketball iq when they have no game what so ever....

really? you cant be serious about shawn livingston? he is a very smart kid with a lot of knowledge for the game of basketball, he was just not blessed with all the skills and body to be real competitive in the nba... this kid did blow out his knee on a uncontested lay-up...i think he has more basketball iq than b-diddy and b-diddy knows what hes doin...

but i would have to agree with you with bill walton...hes a joke....

He's forgotten more about basketball than anyone here knows.

This is a great thread for getting a clear cut picture of how well certain people on the forum know the game.

Their are a few posters, who before this thread, my opinion was, "I think they're a goof, and I don't believe really know what they're talking about." But now those same posters, I know 100% for sure, they really don't know what they're talking about.

well what do you mean low IQ?
you mean ones who all they do is score and nothing else? just rebound?
or is it those who don't listen to the coach? those who turnover the most?

Rudy Gay disappoints me. For a guy who played under Jim Calhoun he really is pretty dumb.

Josh Smith is another one who continuously disappoints me.

Jamal Crawford, never met a shot he didn't like, doesn't really play defense or well refuses to. He hasn't realized what he is.

Gerald Green for obvious reasons as well.

Yeah, I don't think I'd want any of those guys mentioned on my team.

how so?? this thread is out here to create some chatter on a topic that has NO RIGHT ANSWER...these are just all peoples opinions...your opinion is different from mine and the guy who posted first and last...
there is no clear cut answer to this question since there isnt a REAL definition on what constitutes poor basketball iq nor there is no test in place to figure out each players basketball iq....

and plus your in a forum where MAJORITY of the people here are CANADIAN...last time i checked, canada is not a big NBA country, i hear they are down with, lacrosse, hockey and hunting (ill give you that we are in a Raptors forum but still...)
its the same with me and hockey, i live in california where hockey always comes last so my opinion on hockey will be completely off than those of you in canada who i bet know a shit load more than i do even if we still have the ducks and kings....

ok yes, if you said, magic, bird, west, kareem and jordan all had low basketball iq then, YES, you have no clue what your talking about but c'mon guy, dont hate on someone unless you got something to PROVE that someone has no clue what they are talking about....

if you dont agree with someone, SPEAK UP!
im sure they wont mind giving you their reasoning for picking whoever they picked...

you kind of sound like a guy whos bitter cuz since not everyone agrees with you or not enough people gave you enough credit for you claiming gerald green with having the poorest basketball iq....

CLEARLY it sounds like you know what your talking about...so let me help you out a little....

bjjs claims he knows what he is talking about and he says GERALD GREEN has the POOREST BASKETBALL IQ
END OF THREAD!!

PLEASE NO MORE GUESSES!! SOME OF YOU GUYS CLEARLY DONT KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT! BJJS GAVE US A CLEAR CUT ON WHO KNOWS WHAT IN THIS FORUM...
BJJS KNOWS ALL!!!

that was a fairly provocative post two digits. we try to promote positive discussion here instead of direct insults. bjjs has been around for quite a while and is a quality poster, and he managed to leave his post general so as not to call out specific individuals. you should try the same instead of baiting him to get in an argument here.

and lose the bolded caps. no need to yell.

Do Americans enjoy perpetuating their stereotypes or does it just happen?

Oh and if you need to know what "perpetuated" means, just PM me.

sorry for the porvocative post but i just hate people who say something without backing it up...especially if you dont got something positive to say....
he bashed some posters WITHOUT pointing them out, either point them out or just keep you mouth shut is my 2cents....like you said i know your trying to make it a positive discussion, bashing other posters without pointing them out seems pretty negative to me and not to mention cowardly too......

bjjs made a small, discreet post without mentioning names. you went off on a long and involved post, mentioning him directly, telling him how to post, making stereotypical generalizations about our country and finishing it up with huge font, bolded, block caps insults. see the difference(s)?
