People will say who... but IMHO it has to be Drazen Petrovic... that guy couldn't miss even if he wanted to.

Steve kerr and Reggie Miller are up there too. kerr is the career highest 3pt % isnt him?

Miller was the best at finding a good place to shoot so I wouldnt know who to say.

If I had to choose:

1)Petrovic.

2)Miller.

3)Kerr.

And IMO a shooter that doesnt get mentioned enough is Richard Hamilton. For me the best shooter in the NBA right now.

I'd have to say Reggie .... that cat was clutch and could hit a shot from anywhere.

I say Petrovic. From what I've seen and what I remember as just a pure skilled player, he was a lights out shooter.

Larry Legend though is a close second. He really took the art of shooting to another level and you knew if you left him open you were gonna pay. Hell, how many times would he call his shot and know that he was going to hit it?

Reggie was simply clutch and hell, New York City still has terrible memories of him.

IMO Larry Bird is the best I've ever seen.

I'd say Jerry West and Rick Barry are two guys who are up there too. I didn't get to watch them like I did Larry Bird and I've only seen them on old NBA Classic Games, but they stick out in my mind.

Other guys I can think of that were pretty good too and deserve honourable mention are Chris Mullin, Steve Smith, Hersey Hawkins and Jeff Hornacek.

I think Jerry West should be on that list.

Also Brent Barry.

larry legend all the way. a true shooting master and a killer instinct to back it up. no one made you pay like larry, and he did it with a brutal mustache and short shorts... can't beat that.

I loved Larry's shot, but it was Pistol Pete that attracted me to the game. You yunguns have no idea what you missed. I remember seeing him score 50 or 60 back in the 70's, and he made everything look easy - off-balanced shots while falling out-of-bounds, shots from deep in the corner where the ball had to clear the top corner of the backboard. And it always seemed like he never touched iron. It was like the rims could be brought in another inch and it wouldn't matter. Yeah - it was the same kind of thing I saw in Bird and why I fell in love with him as well - but Pete was first.

I wanted to include Hornacek and West but by the time I got to it I realized I didn't have enough slots.
