I believe the same. Travels to other places in the world would be too hard, at least in South America they would be at the same time than US.

the reasoning has more to do with money more than anything else...
remember when we used to complain that our dollar wasnt near the US dollar and we were suffering because we werent on par?
imagine how the peso looks compared to the USD? LOL.
a team would have a hard time surviving in the south american market.
they wouldnt make a profit whatsoever.
so it will never happen.

europe on the other hand would be rolling in dough.

Unless the NBA tries something new, we will never know what will be successful...

Then they just shut it down. Just like the NFL Europe. A risk should be taken in this case. And if they fail they can find a new scheme.

If they shut it down then what about the players that already went over in draft picks or trades. They will be pissed and imagine if the first pick in the draft went there. The NBA will be mad and so will the people who are NBA fans or fans of that player

I imagine they'll put a team in St. Louis one of these days. It has the other three major sports and sells tickets for them pretty well, and half the population is African-American (not to racial profile, but... yeah). I'm not sure why they don't have one, it'd be a much better choice than Oklahoma City.

I was reading the Doug Smith Bolg and I found this:

Nicholas C, Toronto

A: I believe the plan is to have a European division of new teams, only in cities that have arenas that can generate the revenue needed to be successful. But I also believe the plans are, at the moment, very fluid and nothing is cast in stone.
