Where is OKC going?

I dont see them going anywhere for a long time. They just suck real bad. They can pick up some good players from the draft, but it will take a while for them to devolope. This year i see them last seed in the west and the NBA.

Thoughts?

Yeah I think Durants overrated and will never be a true franchise.
Don't see any potential in Green.
Westbrook will be a Poor mans Monta Ellis at best.
Petro cannn possibly be like Dalembert.
The rest of the team?
a complete joke
3-5 years for anything to happen, better cross there fingers draft09

I think their future is quite bright.

Durrant is an excellent player as is Green.

Petro's only 22 and is still learning.

As it stands their bench is solid with Collison, Joe Smith, Damien Wilkens and Desmond Mason...ie. they're not a complete joke.

Westbrook could turn out to be very nice.

See my earlier posts re: Durrant. If you don't think he's gonna be a player then you're nuts and don't watch him enough. He's a special player.

They need, NEED a legitimate PG first. Once they have that PG, you'll see that team coming together quite nicely because they have some really talented players and good pieces.

Answer: get OKC a PG and they'll be dangerous.

Every new franchise needs time. It is very hard to establish yourself in a competitive league with strong teams with rich tradition. Were the Raptors or the Grizzlies better in their inaugural season?

Technically they aren't new though. They were relocated and had established players with an established roster. You can't compare the Raptors/Grizz '95 to this team at all.

I think they have a great foundation. Durant is gonna be one of the faces of the NBA in a few years, Green is a SOLID player. People like Ronnie Brewer so much, well, Green the same type of player. Westbrook hopefully develops into the type of player he was evolving into at UCLA - a speedy combo guard. Nick Collison is a very underrated, solid bigman. Combine that with another lottery pick this coming season and some cap space and you have a up and coming team.
