So, yeah.... I guess that didn't work.

Which is too bad. Flopping sucks.

That's why Horry has 6+ rings.
If you can't carry a team, then flop.

They should just start giving players techs next year and then itll stop. Its that simple. Any half decent non homeristic person can tell a flop from a charge.

Horry has to use dirty plays because he knows his prime is waaaaay past him and that's the only way he can contribute. By getting the other team pissed of.

What I like is Jeff Van Gundy's reaction. He is always so straight up with everything. I remember he was once making funny of Eddy Curry. By saying that Curry is listed at 245 pounds on the NBA website but yet there is no chance that he is under 290.

ok.

so you got a guy who's abusing the rules on offence, he's one ofthese guys that has no care if you have position or not, he's going through you.

do you let him have the lane? get out the way?

Do you stand and allow yourself to be taken out like no other player in any sport does? Standing straight up, unprotected, while a 250lb guy runs as fast as he can, shoulder or knee out and into your sternum? 5-6 times a night?

Is that it?

Or do you take the charge properly, alowing contact, but initiating a backward motionand falling properly so you can actually stand up afterwards withoug a busted rib and a concussion.

I think many fans are getting confused on a lot of plays, confused as to what a Flop is, and what taking a charge is. Guys the feel the wind blow then fall down, they are flopping. But gus that get position, and go with the contact to lessen the blow, thats just good charge taking.

You have to pay attention to he difference or else you're just running around slagging players when thy don't deserve it.

I personally, was very big on drawing charges, I was smart, and I got to spots before guys, which made it my spot, and when they hit me, they were fouling me. Damned if I was gonna stand and get my effin clock cleaned by these big dudes that had been caught napping. Eff that man.

Well said SJ. Anticipating contact and putting yourself in position to absorb the contact and fall to the ground, isn't flopping.

If the NBA wants to stop flopping, they should call some offensive fouls where the defensive player doesn't fall to the floor. Defender get dislodged all the time, but if they don't fall, 95% of the time they don't get the call.
