Default WC PLAYOFFS RD 2: (2) HOU ROCKETS vs (3) LA CLIPPERS

STARTERS:

HOU

Jason Terry
James Harden
Trevor Ariza
Terrence Jones
Dwight Howard

LAC

Chris Paul
JJ Redick
Matt Barnes
Blake Griffin
DeAndre Jordan

KEY ROTATION PLAYERS:

HOU

Pablo Prigioni
Corey Brewer
Josh Smith

LAC

Jamal Crawford
Glen Davis

Key Matchups:

I think that the Clippers are clearly the superior team in this match up on both sides of the ball, but unfortunately injuries may be the biggest caveat in the series for them. They would have the biggest advantages to exploit at PG and PF in this series, but if Paul's hamstring isn't healthy, then we're going to get a big dose of Austin Rivers, which will be the Clippers undoing.

Houston really needs to speed the game up and blitz the Clippers when their bench comes in the game in order to win. The Clippers have done a great job on Harden this season, but obviously the playoffs are a whole different animal.

The Howard and Jordan matchup should be awesome, as it'll be interesting to see which of the two can impose their will on the offensive glass, as DJ especially has a propensity to wander and miss box outs, which he can't do against Dwight who is very comparable to him athletically.

Ultimately, this series will come down to CP3's health, and I think he'll battle through and the Clippers will move on. Hopefully the coaches don't hack-a-eachother since there's a lot of opportunity to do so on both sides.

PREDICTION:

LAC IN 6

Yeah Harden and Terry guarding Redick, Paul and Crawford...clippers in 6, plus Warriors vs LAC would be epic

Nah, I'm sure they're going to play Ariza on Paul defensively, similar to how they played Ariza on Ellis against Dallas. Jones is fast enough to cover off Barnes on the perimeter, so is Smith and Harden is big enough to defend the Clippers wings as well. Harden will be the ball handler and Terry will be standing in the corner - gonna be really hard for CP to not leak away from him to help with Harden so I'm sure he'll be open a bit. Really too bad Houston doesn't have Beverly for this one but Terry is capable of draping himself all over Reddick.

I don't think the Clippers frontcourt is deep enough to beat Houston...the Rockets have D12, Smith and Jones where as the Clippers have Jordan, Blake and Big Baby - 3 against 2.5 imo.

Gonna be a fun series to watch all the switching going on, Rockets in 6.

CP3 out tonight. If Rivers plays well and the Clips win it'll be the biggest upset in the history of civilization. Mostly because of the Rivers playing well part.

Clippers are doomed this game with Rivers starting.

What's worse: Reggie Millers commentary, or Austin Rivers?

HOU literally just left him wide open on a halfcourt possession, ON PURPOSE. Ariza rotated to a semi open Blake to leave Docs son wide open and he bricked the shot as usual.

The fast break tunnel vision before that with Redick being wide open on his left where he ultimately turned it over was just awful.

Clippers can't fall behind early like this. Houston is a hard team to make a comeback on.

Total bullshit call on Baby on the Harden drive. This game is awful. So many turnovers and awful play.

They really don't care about the fans

They make one dumb mistake after another no wonder why rogers schooled them with NHL TV contract which they play on 10 different channels
