Default WC PLAYOFFS RD 2 : (1)SA SPURS vs (5)LA CLIPPERS

STARTERS:

SAS

Tony Parker
Danny Green
Kawhi Leonard
Boris Diaw
Tim Duncan

LAC

Chris Paul
Randy Foye
Caron Butler
Blake Griffin
DeAndre Jordan

KEY ROTATION PLAYERS:

SAS

Gary Neal
Manu Ginobili
Stephen Jackson
Tiago Splitter
Matt Bonner

LAC

Eric Bledsoe
Mo Williams
Nick Young
Reggie Evans
Kenyon Martin

Key Matchups:

SAS 3 pt shooting off of pick and roll vs LAC pick and roll defence. I really believe this is by far the biggest key in the series. LAC does a really bad job of rotating against teams with good spacing and penetrating guards, and they're playing the team that is the best at playing that offence, by far. If the Clippers want to win some games and be able to compete, VDN is going to have to take his coaching game to new heights and figure out how to not give up 10+ 3's a game.

I could bring up coaching and Paul vs Parker, but the first point is really all of that in one.

PREDICTION:

SAS in 6.

Sweep for the Spurs in this one. WAY too much pressure on CP3 to carry the load against one of the best defenses in the league. Couple that with the fact that he'll have his hands full with Parker and Manu and I don't like the Clips' chances.

SA also knows how to close games and execute down the stretch.... something that MEM had a lot of trouble with.

Pop coached Vinny back in the day. Also, the Spurs have had a week to analyze the play of the Clippers. Pop probably broke down every single play that they use.

Have to admit though that the Clippers have the hardest path to get to the championship.

Memphis--->San Antonio----->OKC/L.A.------->Miami

Should be an easy series for the Spurs. Pops will know how to exploit the Clippers weaknesses. And now that we know Griffin isn't himself. It should be easy.

Spurs look to have the advantage - but never underestimate a team with Chris Paul on it

Popovich already showing his genius by flashing Diaw to the high post to alleviate the double on Parker and Diaw has 3 assists already

Blake missed 2 tough shots and missed 2 bunnies. I wouldnt call it great defence yet. And the other way SAS has missed a few gimmies with LAC not running back on D. Its pretty sad that a 2nd rd team is still not committed to closing out or running back on D. SAS should be up by 10 right now.

So many missed free throws in the last hour. The two air balls from the stripe by Splitter took the cake. Reggie Evans did a face palm.
