WC PLAYOFFS RD 2 : (1)OKC THUNDER vs (5)MEM GRIZZLIES

STARTERS:

OKC

Reggie Jackson
Thabo Sefolosha
Kevin Durant
Serge Ibaka
Kendrick Perkins

MEM

Mike Conley
Tony Allen
Tayshaun Prince
Zach Randolph
Marc Gasol

KEY ROTATION PLAYERS:

OKC

Derek Fisher
Kevin Martin
Nick Collison

MEM

Jerryd Bayless
Quincy Pondexter
Darrell Arthur

Key Matchups:

This series is all about OKC scoring enough points to be able to win. MEM completely shut down the Clippers 3 point attack while controlling the Clippers 2nd and 3rd options with Blake and Jamal. CP3 killed them, but there was only so much he could do. In this series, I think MEM is going to load up on KD and once again, shut off the 3 point line, and I dont think OKC will have enough offence, unless they control the offensive boards somehow, and Ibaka scores 20+ every game, because they wont be getting the same Fisher and Martin 3's this series. I think MEM has too much talent and their defence is too good for a one man ISO team to get by.

PREDICTION:

MEM IN 5

Nites 05-04-2013 01:40 PM

Memphis in 6

I am going with the unpopular choice of Memphis in 4.

Their defense is too much to handle, especially with Westbrook out. OKC looked very vulnerable without Westbrook. I think Durant will still score a lot of points, but Allen will make it very difficult for him. As Perkins is not a scoring threat, Z-Bo and Marc Gasol should be able to double up on Ibaka.

Memphis in 6, if they make it to the finals, I'd love to see how the heat match with gasol and zbo

Great start to the game for MEM. 7-0 lead and they're contesting everything on defence.

How the fuck can they review that and call it a flagrant? It was a basketball play.

Good thing I don't bet on sports. :haha:

I dont understand why Memphis doesnt go to their bigs more in offense. I think it was the same in first game against the Clippers. Gasol and Z-Bo just didnt get touches in offense. They are such a threat together that I think ball should always go to one of them in offense. They are capable of passing it out too, so its not like you are just forcing it inside. But in the end OKC had hard time winning that game at home. I would still put my money on Memphis.

Matt sounds great tonight. He needs to steal that headset and/or sound guy to bring to Toronto.

bigmandinky 05-07-2013 10:08 PM

Marc Gasol's game is so complete that its borderline ridiculous.
