Default WC PLAYOFFS; RD 1:LA WINS-- (2) LA LAKERS - 4 VS (7) NO HORNETS - 2

STARTERS:

LAL

Derek Fisher
Kobe Bryant
Ron Artest
Pau Gasol
Andrew Bynum

NOH

Chris Paul
Marco Belinelli
Trevor Ariza
Carl Landry
Emeka Okafor

KEY ROTATION PLAYERS:

LAL

Steve Blake(Likely Out)
Shannon Brown
Matt Barnes
Lamar Odom

NOH

Jarrett Jack
Willie Green
Jason Smith
Aaron Gray

Key Matchups:

Size mismatch- Even if Bynum is out, the Lakers still have a huge advantage inside without West in the series for the Hornets. Okafor cant guard Odoms huge quickness advantage, nor Gasols quickness and size advantage. Landry cant come close to guarding any of the 3.

The supporting cast for NOH- This is NOH biggest problem in this series. Only one guy can consistantly create/score/set up opportunities. Ariza cant create anything even if Fisher was on him, Belinelli/Okafor feeds off of Paul, and Landry is inconsistant and can score in bunches at time but usually only does so vs guys 6'10 and under. NOH best shot is to have Jack in the game with Paul so they have another guy in the game who resembles a playmaker. But in the end it wont matter anyway, as the Hornets dont have enough around CP3 to compete.

Kobe factor- Unless Ariza has a secret to guarding him, which he has yet to show, the Hornets are helpless vs him. I expect Jackson to go after Belinelli in the 1st qtrs of games no matter if hes guarding Kobe or Artest, and theres no way Green can cover Kobe either. Their best solution to the problem is likely putting Jack on him and just doubling on the catch. At least theyll have more offence in the game that way and can possibly speed the tempo up.

PREDICTION:

LAL in 4. Way too many mismatches and not enough talent on the Hornets. It's going to be painful watching an entire game in this series besides MAYBE game 3.

4-0 or 4-1 you summed it up pretty nice and neat.

But I would LOVE if NO pulled it off. I wouldn't care what happened the rest of the playoffs.

The worst matchup of the Western playoffs. I have Lakers in 5. I got NOH stealing a game at home in game 4 with Lakers falling asleep.

The Hornets are somehow winning. What the hell is going on these first 2 days?

CP3 with an epic 1st qtr, 6 pts 8 dimes.

New Orleans winning thus far. I have a feeling that we are going to have a couple upsets this round (not in the series though) Just in general. I really want to see Atlanta beat Orlando.

CP3 showing that hes still got it. Maybe the rest hes had throughout the year is the reason for his current God mode

11 pts 10 assists in the 1st half, huge.

Crazy sequence to end the half. Hopefully the Artest shot doesnt give the Lakers momentum. Its really hard to see how the Hornets are going to keep this up.

Yeah, the hornets are playing out of their mind right now. I don't think they will be able to handle LA beyond 5 games. Landry and Okafor cannot handle Gasol and Bynum..Kobe is going to do something crazy this half.

Beat LA baby

I'd hate to be that guy sitting courtside with his knees sticking out. Well I'd probably love it, but still...

Ariza's a freaking hot head. Someone should just give him a hard foul sometime..Smarten him up.

How about the ex-Raptors.

M. Belinelli: 10 points (2-4 from downtown)

J. Jack: 7 points in 9 minutes
