Default WC PLAYOFFS RD 1 : (2)SA SPURS vs (7) LA LAKERS

STARTERS:

SAS

Tony Parker
Danny Green
Kawhi Leonard
Tim Duncan
Tiago Splitter

LAL

Steve Blake
Jodie Meeks
Metta World Peace
Pau Gasol
Dwight Howard

KEY ROTATION PLAYERS:

SAS

Gary Neal
Manu Ginobili
Boris Diaw

LAL

Earl Clark
Antawn Jamison

Key Matchups:

I think the only deciding factor in how long this series goes is Tony Parkers health. If he's healthy, I think SAS has too much offensive firepower and should win the series in 4 or 5, but if he isn't healthy, the Lakers will be able to slow the game to a crawl and SAS will have a tough time scoring, and LALs size will really have an affect on them on both sides of the ball.

PREDICTION:

SAS in 5

I think the Lakers will make this a competitive series but lose in 7 on the road. I think releasing Stephen Jackson will come back to hurt the Spurs in this playoff run

I hope to see the Lakers lose, but I fear this Tmac jinx, and Parker going into he playoffs with bad wheels again. Go Timmy! Do it in six. Please?

Coach Nick dissects the last LAL vs SAS game and has some insights on what to expect from the series. I like Coach Nick in small doses.

The first thing that jumps out at me is that this isn't the best matchup for the Lakers. At least against OKC Howard would stand a chance of having a big impact. Against Splitter and Duncan he will not force adjustments and could become relatively useless. If Parker is in any way shape to be aggressive then I look for a sweep or 5 gamer.

Spurs neutralizing Howard.

Duncan 4-5 from the field early.

I'm hoping Pop doesn't play Blair and Bonner at the same time.
