The ref blew a call that was right in front of him. Ref didn't call the tech because it would make him look like even more of an idiot.

Please, if that was a bench player he's being t'ed up. I've seen blown calls being argued and scrubs getting technicals and they usually don't hesitate for a second.
How do you know the ref knew he blew that call?

IMO that was ridiculous.
