AHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA

AHAHAHAHAH

AHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAH

At least the Clippers still have a probably big signing to find redemption in. This is just a horrible move by GS. No idea what they're doing.

Oh damn. Well I'll be, good luck Golden State. Jacking up random shots all day and no defense galore@!
But without Baron, my Warriors will never be the same..

So Maggette goes for the money and not for the free championship ride w/ Boston or San Antonio

He might regret it later, but GS will still be entertaining nonetheless

It's not even the money that makes this deal horrible, it's the team. I mean it makes sense for San Antonio to take Maggette... their team defense can over his lapses with Duncan back there and they desperately need to squeeze out more offense out of little options.

Golden State was already shitty enough on defense and could already score as much as they want, this does nothing to solve their weaknesses. This also screws up their capspace and ability to confidently sign both Ellis and Biedrins. All this sets them up for is pure mediocrity for the next 5 years, a team neither good enough to make the playoffs or bad enough to get a star. They're back in the place they were when the missed the playoffs for 13 straight years or whatever it was.

Golden State has no idea what they're doing

I agree w/this, this move doesn't help the team in the long run and looks like a panic move after losing Baron Davis

Look for the next move for GS to be to move Stephen Jackson and Al Harrington. G-State is in a pretty bad situation but they have a lot of good trading pieces including Azibuike.

Maggette & Elton: "Baron, tell me how my ass tastes!"

Haha. I just find it kind of interesting how is Brand and Maggette didn't leave, just imagine LAC's lineup.

Baron
Mobley
Maggette
Brand
Kaman

Not too shabby.

Wow.

This was unexpected.

That's a lot of money, but we are talking about a legitimate 20 point scorer here. But now assuming they re-sign Monta, this leaves them in a tough place.

Can they re sign Biedrins, who is the closest thing they have to a legit big? And down the line, do they really want to build around Maggette and Ellis?

Basketball wise, it also raises a few questions for me. Ellis is now the point guard I would assume? That leaves them with Maggette, Jackson and Harrington at 2,3 and 4 and God knows what at the 5 (Brandon Wright?) Those 3 are all dangerous individually with the ball in their hands, but it isn't exactly a trio that scares me collectively.

They remind me of the Atlanta Hawks of a few years ago. No legitimate point guard, and a bunch of crazy athletic 6'7 to 6'9 guys.

wow... if i'm a GState fan i absolutely HATE this deal.
10 million a year for 5 years for a scorer who's injury prone and declining.
wow.
bad move...
they are losing Bdiddy already...
Monta ellis should be priority #1.
beidrins #2.
yet they go out and sign Maggette?
yikes.

And they don't even need Maggette. I don't think they would think highly of resigning Biedrins, especially since they have Brandan Wright, who they are grooming to take over. Doesn't makes sense, but that's the GSW way.

I'd love to see how they finish this season. Their roster will stay the same through the whole year. They probably have no cap space whatsoever right now.

they are in for a HUGE surprise next season when they see themselves in 11 place and no chance at making the playoffs.
Davis is better off signing ith LAC, even with Brand gone, they will do better than GS.
mark my words.

The LAC are an up and coming team with Gordon and Thornton. They're gonna score a shitload of points.

So what do the Warriors do with Brendan Wright now? Are they going to forever stunt his growth? I honestly don't get that management team.

Hell, who's their back up point guard?
