Exclamation Wade more likely to leave than Lebron, Amare to get more Attention than Bosh in 2010?

Quote:
An NBA front office source believes that Dwyane Wade is more likely to change addresses than LeBron James.

Both players are expected to hit the free agent market next summer.

"Maybe Dwyane [Wade] leaves, but I don't think anybody believes LeBron leaves Cleveland," the source told CBS Sports. "They're spending $100 million trying to win a title for the guy."

The same source believes that Amar'e Stoudemire will be more coveted on the market than Chris Bosh.

"If you're starting a team tomorrow, I'm not sure how many people pick Bosh over Amar'e. Other than that, there's nobody who's his equal on the free-agent market and I think he knows that."
RealGM: Basketball Wiretap Archives: Source: Wade More Likely To Leave Than LeBron
I agree with the Wade part, but this source loses some credibility by saying few would start a franchise with Amare rather than Bosh.

Wade is more likely to leave then Bosh is at this point. And unless Miami makes some major moves by the deadline or next summer, he might just leave. As for Amare being more coveted then Bosh, that's absurd.

If we win around 50 games and go deep into the playoffs I'd hope that Bosh would be picking up the phone to convince Wade to sign with us.

We'd definitely have some interesting pieces now at least to interest MIA (if can't keep him).

Ewww, no.

What do you mean? We could trade Hedo for a center (Chandler?), and AirComp10 could play the 3. Our lineup would be

Jose
Wade
DD
Bargs
Chandler.

Ummm.... the idea here is to get Wade AND Bosh on the same team.

That's how you win a title.

Well, this article pretty much puts this thread to rest.

Quote:
Wade Says No to Knicks Well Before 2010

The New York Knickerbockers’ epic summer of shopping, beginning on July 1, 2010, isn’t off to the most promising of starts. Dwyane Wade, one of the highly-prized free agents next year, has made it clear that he has no interest whatsoever in joining Gotham’s hoops team.

Wade, who’s in the New York area to shoot a movie, also expressed his desire to stay in Miami for a long time (regardless of his real estate dealings).

The NY Post and NY Times have the quotes: “Not in my mind,” Wade said yesterday when asked if the Knicks and Nets had a shot at his services. “I’m not thinking about the Knicks or the Nets. Only when we play them.”

“I want to be in Miami, and I hope everything works out that way,” Wade said Thursday. “I want to be one of those players that stays with one franchise for his entire career…Next year will be a big year for myself and for the team, but the plan has always been to stay with the Heat, and that’s still the plan,” he said. “I think everything will work out.”’

This, of course, makes all the sense in the world. Miami can offer Wade the most money out of all the teams in the L, and their future looks a hell of a lot brighter than the mess they’ve created in New York.

I’d be surprised to learn that other big-time free agents aren’t thinking along the same lines as Wade.

To be honest I think that if the Heat don't make the playoffs next season or they do and get knocked out in the first round Wade will leave. I hope BC tries to do a deal for him like a possible S&T with Miami? Yeah we would be well over the cap but multiple championships will make up for it.

If we got Wade we would have to get rid of Jose. If not then the starting lineup would have bad chemistry. Wade likes to run and Jose well, can't run.

Think they would go for a Jose & DD for Wade swap?

He actually plays D worse than Bosh and he's inconsistent. Well, worse than he did last year.

yeah! both guys have the same agent right? i just wonder how kin they are to each other. i mean if we meet Bosh's expectation, would that entice Dwade to sign with us even though not many players would want to play here?

Um, Miami would be able to sign 2 max guys (bosh and wade)...

I dont think if it was the other way around and Bosh gets wade to sign in Toronto.

No way we have the cap room to sign 2 max guys like Bosh and Wade. We'd have to go over the cap no?

It'd have to be a sign and trade.

A trade of Jose, Bargs plus Douby thrown in for Wade would do it. We'd maybe have to throw in a 1st rounder and money to sweeten the pot.

Yep, that's about what we'd have to do..... and I'd pull the trigger on that deal in about .000000076 seconds.
