Heat Wade: The Front office has some work to do

For some reason this sounds familiar??

Quote:
He didn't offer much insight into his future when asked about free agency during the postgame press conference.

"I can't predict the future," said the soon-to-be-free-agent.

"It's going to be an important summer, a very busy summer. I still have to get this [being eliminated] out of my system.

"I don't think I have to say much more about it."

Wade is expected to hit the free agent market alongside superstars like LeBron James, Chris Bosh, Joe Johnson, Carlos Boozer and Amar'e Stoudemire.

He has repeatedly said how much he loves Miami, but has stopped short of saying that the Heat have the best chance to sign him.

"This playoff run had no indication on my future," Wade added before saying that Miami's front office has work to do.

"I'm not putting any pressure on myself," he said when asked if he might sign early, if he re-signs with the Heat, so he can help recruit another max-level player.

"The front office has some work to do".

Miami needs to land a guy like Boozer to take some attention away from Wade and add some consistent three point shooters.

Honestly, they need more then we do believe it or not. They seriously need a good PG and another Big that is a double double machine, such as Bosh, Boozer?

Wow. These guys' agents all have the same philosophy (unless they all have the same agent?) They all took 3 year contracts, expiring at the same time, they all say the exact same thing... "Don't know what the future holds, don't want to talk about it, I like this city and it has a chance to sign me, this team has work to do to get better...."

It basically means: Pander, beg, fall at my feet, pay me as much as you are allowed and do whatever I say needs to be done.

It's a brilliant strategy really. Here are these young guys, already showing what they can do, all stars, and everyone still saying they have not even reached their potential yet, so pay them and give them whatever they want. They have the league in the palm of their hands right now.....or league GMs' nuts in a vice.

Carmelo Anthony is the only one in that spectacular draft class to miss this gravy train. He signed the long contract.

Bosh and Wade DO have the same agent. LeBrons agent is working with Bosh/Wades agent to put a ton more hype into this year as well.

They'll need a lot more than just Boozer. I'd say just adding Boozer would put them in about the same position.
