Wade & Durant going at it on social media

lol

Kevin Durant said James Harden should replace me in the Top 10...Note to self*Make him respect your place in history... again..."

Those are some pretty powerful words from Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade who clearly feels disrespected by one of his peers. According to this Instagram photo, Wade has taken exception to the praise Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Kevin Durant has been heaping on his former teammate and current Houston Rockets star James Harden. Back in August, Harden was named the "best guard in the league" by Durant. In a video found on CineSport, Durant discussed Sports Illustrated's Top 10 list and mentioned that he'd replace Wade's inclusion with Harden.

Harden>Wade for sure. "Three" needs to realize he's 32 and it's time for him and his banged up self to ride off into the sunset.

I'll take Wade over Harden in a 7 game series. Regardless, after winning two straight championships I'm not sure Wade is the one who has to show anybody anything.

Surround Wade with other all stars and he's awesome!

On his own, he is pretend-injured and plays like he doesnt care.

Harden has the peddle to the metal 24/7. With who ever is around him.

Harden> Wade. Except to ring counters of course.

bjjs 09-25-2013 01:12 PM

Harden is still trying to do what Wade has already done, and thus 24/7 effort is needed. He's trying to make a legacy, while Wade has made one. All that is left for DWade is collecting rings.

Two different stages of their careers.

Veing a prolific regular season scorer doesn't automatically make you better than the second best player on a two-time defending champion. Unless of course we're talking fantasy basketball.

Wade will have the same legacy as LBJ. Neither have the ability to make players around them better. They need already good players to coast with.

MJ, Bird, Magic, Russel all made mediocre players into contributing champions.

I think Lebron makes players better. The team he took to the finals in Cleveland was putrid.

Why does this whole thing seem like a manufactured feud setup for an ad campaign?

..? They weren't putrid. He had friggen Eric Snow, a living legend and Ilgauskus who was an all star.

and Ira Newbie.

LX 09-25-2013 02:06 PM

I'd like to know who the mediocre players Bird, Magic, or Russell played with.

LeBron is the best in the NBA at making players around him better. He is up there with Tim Duncan, Jason Kidd, Steve Nash, and Shaq when they were in their primes.

Raptorman 09-25-2013 03:04 PM

LBJ has unmatched talent. Just ask him. And I agree with him.

So why did he bail out on his home town and team to surround himself with all stars and collect rings?

He lacks in charecter for all his talent.

MBailey85 09-25-2013 04:02 PM

Harden is better than Wade at the moment but people are writing off Dwayne Wade too soon.

box92 09-25-2013 04:24 PM

I would easily take harden over wade in this coming season

woodchuck 09-25-2013 05:52 PM

Durant calling Harden "the best guard in the league" sounds like a slap to Westbrook too, tbh.

A couple writers I've seen were suggesting that - an ad campaign for Gatorade :jack:

I thought KD was talking strictly sg and not pgs or guards in general.....

Until the playoffs come, then Wade steps up and Harden fades away.
