Wade To Chicago? Trade Rumour

taken from realgm.com

Chicago Tribune -
Dwyane Wade says he keeps hearing his name mentioned in trade rumors between the Heat and the Chicago Bulls , who own the top pick in this year's NBA draft, the Chicago Tribune is reporting.

"I have heard my name being talked about, and I can't worry about it," Wade said Monday. "There is one thing in this league that you have no control over. If another organization wants you, then you should feel good to be wanted."

Is it possible Miami is looking to get the FIRST and Second pick in this years draft?? Has that ever happened before? a team with the first 2 picks in round 1?

WOW ... nice find Ex2k.

That would be crazy, but I could see Riley making such a move to build around both Rose and Beasley.

WOW! That's one helluva rumour. Why wouldn't Riley do this? I think it's the shit. That's GREAT thinking. Hinrich + #1 pick for Wade. Riley trades down and grabs Mayo (or Rose). Next season, you have a quartet of Marion, Beasley, Mayo (or Rose) and Hinrich. Plus they'll grab another lottery selection next season.

Meanwhile, the Bulls get a hometown megastar in Wade and it pairs him up with Deng.

wow...
just wow.
that would be incredible for miami...
wade is a superstar, but his health is a major concern... miami builds around two young potential superstars, and bulls get wade (their new MJ).

yeah the bulls had the first two picks five or six years ago when they drafted chandler and curry one and two..
they shipped brand to the clips for the second pick and some other garbage. one of the worst trades in bulls history

Because neither Beasley or Rose will ever come close to the level Wade was at in the finals year. Unless Miami knows something about Wades knees or something itd be absolutely horrible to trade him for the 1st pick. When hes healthy hes a top 10 player easily in the league.

Would you rather have 2 really good players or one excellent player?

You dont trade superstar 24 year olds for a rookie especially in this draft class. I'm not sold on Beasley, and the Miami fans who know a lot more about their team then we do wanted the thread about this same conversation locked thats how bad they think the trade is. I think you forget how good Dwade is when healthy. The only way they do this is if hes nearly finished. Wade>>>>>>>Beasley. Wade>>>>>>>>Rose

Isn't Wade the franchise? What will happen to their crowds-... Oh wait.

It'd be an interesting deal, but I don't think the Bulls will do it. The thing is, Wade is 26 and chances are with his body he'll be on the decline by 30. Is Wade/Gordon/Deng really gonna win you a championship in the next 4 years? I'd take my chances with blowing things up and building around Rose, giving yourself a bigger window.

You guys are way too obsessed with prospects. Do you really think Rose will come remotely close to what Wade has already done, ever? He hasnt even hit his prime yet. I'll take Wade and Beasley over Rose and Beasley any and every day of the week. Wade was a top THREE player in the championship year, with his rehabbing and workouts that I've heard about this summer he should be back in top form come next season to show you what youve forgotten.

I think Duhon will be gone this off-season as well. I'm sure the Bulls could pick up a PG for the MLE..

I think Rose and Beasley will be VERY solid pros. And who's to say that Wade will re-up in a couple of years? He very well could sign elsewhere. At least with Beasley and Rose, you know where they will be for another at least 4-5 seasons.

Wade plays like Iverson, but his body-size is too big to absorb the contact he receives. If he becomes a better shooter, he has a chance of preserving his career, but he doesn't have a chance in hell being as effective as he is playing the way he does for much longer. IMO he'll be Grant Hill in a couple of seasons post-ankle.

whens the last time Wade played 60+ games in a season?
not last year.... not the year before that either. and he's only been in the league for 5 years!
the guy's body is trashed.
at 100%, he is top 3 in the league IMO, but he isnt close to 100% and will never be.
the heat are worried, they know they cant rely on his health anymore, they know that next season he'll probably have another year of sub 60 games played. he's always hurt or playing hurt and its only a matter of time before he is seriously injured and has to sit out a whole season.... or worse.
and to add the the problems; the crowds in miami are abissmal... the big wigs need to bring in some youth and energy or they will have the worst attendance numbers in the league.
why not grab the two biggest names in the draft to add some excitement to the franchise and market the team on youth and energy? rose, beasley, marion... thats pretty exciting.
its probably the smart thing to do for that franchise.

Wade, Beasely, Marion is more attractive than Rose, Beasely, Marion, but I'm looking at this from Chicago's side thriller, will they really expect to compete anytime soon with Wade and Deng? Chicago would still have balls for any post play or inside scoring, and if they trade away Hinrich, no PG either. With Wade's 60 games seasons they'd be lucky make the playoffs in the next 2 years, and they wouldn't be bad enough to get a good draft pick either, unless they fluke out again.

It'd be like when Atlanta traded their #3 pick Gasol for Shareef-Abdur Raheem. That trade was one of the dumbest fucking things to ever happen in the NBA, Atlanta made themselves a middle ground team from that point on for years, effectively missing out on the 2003 draft while they were at it (I believe they got 7th pick that year... if they had a top 5 pick they could've had a Gasol/Wade pair and dominated the East for years or something).

If Chicago trades their pick to get Wade, they can then shop Gordon and maybe another one of their young guys ot get a decent post player and possibly keep hinrich. Hinrich, Wade, Deng, good big, Noah then Sefolosha, Thomas and Gooden off the bench+MLE is very very good. If Wade does come back healthy theyd be a top team in the East easily.

Didnt this happen the year Shaq was drafted? I think they got Shaq at number one, and traded Webber for Penny Hardaway as I do recall.

And on the other argument, i think trading Wade for the pick would be a risk but it depends on Wade's ability to recover from his various recurring injuries. If they think he won't bounce back to his old form, then maybe its worth the risk.

I think you either have to give them Hinrich or something like Nocioni + Noah... as you said, trading Wade for Rose/Mayo straight up makes no sense for Miami, Wade is a franchise guy and the others are unproven draft picks. Plus you need to make the salaries work.

I just can't see how Wade and Deng would compliment each other enough to compete at all.

the won the first pick two years in a row, that was the shaq and penny connection. they were drafted a year apart from one another.
