![]() We had this discussion a couple years ago I believe, but now with a new site and new members I'm curious to know people's opinions on whether Vince's career to date is enough to get him to Springfield one day?
Thoughts? ![]() |

![]() I'm on the fence. Personal feelings aside, he definitely electrified the league like hadn't been done in a long time, however when all is said in done will his numbers and his legacy be enough to get him in? Probably not...

![]() The only thing positive about him possibly making the hall of fame would be the TNT shows before it where Chuck would absolutely destroy him and the NBA for letting him into a club where he does not belong. No player that underachieves as long as he did should be allowed in the HOF. He had a couple great years and that's it, the GREAT ones sustain their production and consistantly make their teams that much better, and he just doesnt fit the bill. He doesnt even look like he wants to play half the games.

![]() i'm trying to look at this topic as an NBA fan, and not a toronto fan that feels scorned...
and when i do, i think the answer is still yet to be determined. its neither no or yes at this point in time. i try to look at his good rather than his bad... he did some pretty amazing things while he was on top of his game. he electrified the league for 3 seasons... he "put toronto on the map"... at least he and some idiot american's think so. he has some of the best dunks ever... his hilights will always be shown. he's probably one of the best dunkers in NBA history. unfortunately for him, his bad points will bring him down hard. he is a wimp.. he plays with zero passion. he is not a leader... he hasnt gotten anywhere in the playoffs. he gets no respect from older NBA players and current players. he's a terrible role model... no heart, no drive... frankly, other than his first few seasons of being "half man half amazing", he's been just a regular player... nothing special whatsoever. if he is ever going to be a HOF'er, he needs to put together some impressive seasons or win a championship before his career is over. otherwise he'll just be seen as a great dunker who could have been great, but didnt play to his ability. truthfully though, i honestly think that if he stayed with TO, and was injury-free (like with NJ), he'd be a HOF'er - guarenteed. |

![]() I think he had a chance at one point but I'd be very surprised by now if it actually happened. However, the guy is only 30 so his career is likely far from over and the possibility remains that some internal fire gets lit and he re-emerges as a superstar.
Of course, there is also a possibiity that an uncontrollably horny Elisha Cuthbert shows up at my door at proceeds to live out at letter to Penthouse with me. I like my odds better than VC's. |

![]() I usually cringe with some of the stuff Leo says, but last night he tore Vince a new one and said the big reason Kidd wants out is becuase playing with a guy who is so talented and yet so unmotivated, lazy and soft is eating him alive.

![]() Kidd's a whiny bitch - always looking for an out when things get tough instead of taking it upon himself to do something about it. If he really has that big a problem with VC then he should confront VC and demand a better showing. Kidd and Wince deserve each other.
