Turiaf agrees with Warriors
I'd hate to see him go. But seeing as he's a RFA the Lakers could match Warrior's offer. I really hope they do. :reporter:

Turiaf's agent, Mark Bartelstein would neither confirm nor deny the offer from the Warriors.

"We've talked to a bunch of teams," Bartelstein said in a phone interview. "There are a lot of teams that are interested in Ronny. We'll just wait to see what happens."

The Lakers' other restricted free agent, guard Sasha Vujacic, still is negotiating with the team.

When Vujacic's agent, Bill Duffy, was contacted Tuesday, he responded in a text message, saying there was "no progress today."

Vujacic was believed to be looking for a contract starting at about $5 million per season.

At 9:01 p.m. Tuesday, NBA teams were officially able to complete signings and trades after the lifting of a league-wide moratorium that began July 1.

At this point, I'd go with Vujacic rather than Turiaf. I hope they can get both back tho..

GSW sure likes to screw themselves with their signing. They overpay Maggette, and now this. The fans can deny it all they want, but Ellis becoming pissed at management may become a reality at this rate. I can somewhat understand getting Maggette and Turiaf, but the money they are throwing at them is ridiculous. Did Turiaf have any break out game against the Warriors? Golden States is one fucked up team.

And that's exactly why it'll be hard for LAL to match GS's offer. And I hope Ronny stays with LA. But come to think, GS is on a streak here for screwing themselves up, i'd rather them take Ronny for $4.25 so they can mess up their franchise even more than it already is. Have some fun maybe :haha:

I love Ronny Turiaf. He's one of my top 5 favorite personalities in the NBA. I'm thrilled that a guy whose NBA career was in unbelievably serious jeopardy immediately after he was drafted has locked up some very serious long term security for himself and his family.

Personality and very average bench play are hardly worth 4 mil. He doesn't really do any one thing that well on the court, although GS could certainly use his size down low. He probably outweighs Wright, Ellis, and Harrington combined.

What the hell, are they going to keep either Ellis or Biedrins? How much $ do they have left?

Gurk 07-09-2008 03:03 PM

the arriors are trying to lure peole in with massive contracts but yet no one comes in(i.e. brand). will they have enough money o sign ellis and biendris?
