Man, add Corey to your title. I think he is gonna contribute to that spurs team.
They do great job of drafting and they watch him a lot during his Texas freshman year!

I think spurs promised him he gonna get drafted so he decided to stay in the draft!

Why did Stern say he was from Toronto if Brampton is his real hometown?

Did he play highschool ball in toronto or grow up in Toronto?
just curious.

No he played highschool ball from the catholic school in my area. It was like 5 minutes away from my old house. Yep he was born in Brampton as well

Windex 06-24-2011 11:33 AM

Toronto >>>>> Brampton :)

plus they never mention cities within the city. You never hear a player out of Coppell... they say Dallas

fancylad 06-24-2011 11:33 AM

stern should have said brampton then.

So what if it's smaller? It's where the kid is from. A city within a city? Brampton doesn't even border toronto.

I'm guessing he tells everyone he's from Toronto.

Someguy again 06-24-2011 11:39 AM

it would be funnier if stern didnt say brampton properly and said brownton

because that would be ironic as fuck

Windex 06-24-2011 11:40 AM

If I tell people I was born in North York they get confused and think it is in the US (New York) :) So I just say Toronto :cookie:

that's because north york IS ACTUALLY PART OF Toronto. poor example windex.

I don't understand why this is complicated. Let's say i was from brampton and someone says they never heard of it. All i would say is: It's a town close to toronto. Done. case closed. I won't say, oh i mean toronto... i am from toronto.

You're right it's not complicated, he tells people he's from Toronto.
