If ownership thinks Jackson is the difference-maker in a future finals against Miami, they'll pay the 8 million more.

If Brooks was offered 11 over 3, then if he takes it the talks won't break down.

If he wants more, maybe there is more value in Phil at a higher cost. Who knows how much more Brooks might be asking for after a Finals run?

How likely is it that Brooks isn't signed?? Is there a deadline?

And why does Phil Jackson's name keep getting brought up? He retired for a reason.
