If it were a baseball game, Terrence Williams would have knocked LeBron James down with a high and tight fastball.

In basketball, the reaction to perceived excessive celebration is a hard foul and that is what the Nets guard gave James Saturday night. Then Williams followed up with some mild trash talk in the locker room that just might add some spice to the next Heat-Nets meeting.

Late in the third quarter and a few minutes after James celebrated an alley-oop fastbreak dunk off a lob from Dwyane Wade with a mid-air chest bump, Williams had seen enough.

After James plucked a steal and looked to be en route to the Heat’s tenth dunk or layup in transition Saturday night, Williams caught James from behind and hip-checked him into the seats. Williams was charged with a flagrant foul and James took a minute to be helped to his feet from a pile of chairs and debris about three rows deep.

As he strutted to the foul line, James shot Williams a look over his shoulder. Williams, bent over with his hands on his knees, stared the other direction.

“You’ve got to put your foot down somehow in a basketball game,” Williams said. “When people are going to the hole and throwing behind-the-back and dunking and stuff like that you’ve got to do something about it. It’s nothing against LeBron. I’m a basketball player. I compete just like they do.”

I've gained a new respect for Terrence Williams. I just thought he was another soft JR Smith dumbass but dude has some balls.

2 huge matchups tonight:

BOS@OKC 7PM- Battle of 2 completely different styles. Rondo vs Westbrook should be awesome, as well as Pierce/KD. It'll be interesting to see if Boston can slow the pace down in OKC and beat OKC up inside. Should tell a lot about both teams, if Boston is too old to keep up with teams like OKC and ATL or if OKC cant handle the top defences in the NBA.

POR@LAL- Maybe my most anticipated matchup of the year so far of what I perceive to be the 2 best teams in the West when healthy. I hope PORs frontcourt does matchup as well as I think it does with LA and is able to slow Odom and especially Gasol down. Batum vs Kobe should be interesting to watch, and of course Roy v Kobe at games end. Miller is goin to have to step his game up for POR to win this one on the road and exploit LAs weak PG duos D

So much for the Portland game. Lakers aren't even giving 100% and they are still destroying portland. They didn't even have to bring out Kobe for this game.

we shouldn't be asking if the Heat can win 72
now the question is, can LA win 72?

Indiana putting up 144 Hansbrough, Dunleavy and Collison straight torching the Nuggets

Milwaukee up 20 on the Knicks

and it looks like another Heat win with a triple double for LeBron

Indy 20 for 21 in the 3rd quarter, missing only the last shot with a couple ticks left on the clock.
