I miss Wesley Matthews in Utah

He would've been a PERFECT signing for Toronto last offseason.

Portland is a well balanced team with a solid identity under Nate, and Wallace has stepped into that situation seamlessly. The juxtaposition with the Heat is telling. You see the Heat with an assortment of bench players with no well-defined roles as of yet. Dampier gets a ten minute run here and there. Z gets to play a couple of games and then sits. Joel plays some big games and then goes for a stretch where he barely plays. Jones and House and Miller can all be guys that get easy shots off, but none of them has been properly incorporated in the offense in any solidified way. And to top it all off, they now have Bibby complicating matters. And they look like they are changing up what they are trying to do from game to game.

Even then - if the Heat got back to playing defense they'd be fine. I really have to question the lack of focus and the inability to be organized out there from game to game. Find the role players that give you the best chance on both ends and roll with it. Otherwise you're just making everything more difficult than it needs to be, and gaining no sense of progressing. Stop with the randomness and look at how Portland makes everything nice and easy. If Spoelstra can't put together a regular rotation then it doesn't look too good on him, or Riley.

Another great day in basketball. First the Lakers win on the road in ATL, and then the Heat LOSE AT HOME again. Jizzed.

Portlands bench is ridiculous right now. Brandon Roy, Gerald Wallace, and Rudy Fernandez, unreal. Theyre going to be a tough out in round 1.

Miami once again sucking when it matters, such a beautiful thing to watch.

Their offence is WAY too predictable. They run the same 2-3 plays every possession its so weak. They need to get a better coach who will incorporate the other 2 players on the court in to the offence as well, and also get the big 3 into easier scoring positions.

When you compare Portlands ball movement and player movement to Miamis, it really isnt a comparison. MIA holds the ball too damn much and just keeps reversing the ball right in to traffic where they have to swing it to the opposite side after holding it way too long, the shot clock is down, and they throw up a terrible shot. Its deplorable. That or the 1 on 1 vs really good defensive teams which rarely works.

Wheres the creativity?

So who would be a better coach for the Heat?

Eric Spolstera or Jay Triano?

Miami does go through stretches where they move the ball well. They just don't stick with anything, and then they end up settling for quick shots and then the same plays. Bosh was right when he said they run into the same problems over and over. They really failed to look past the two players that shouldn't have required any great deal of thinking about. Everyone talks about who is going to be the man and take the last shot. That has never been an issue. It's been making something of everyone else.

Sick games with OKC/PHI and NYK MEM. Durant hits game tying 3 in PHI and OKC wins in OT, and then the Knicks stumble and bumble as Clyde would say, but Melo bails them out with a game winning pullup 18 footer.

The maqruee nightly games have been awesome since the deadline,.

MIA seems like the only team the Lakers cant get a defensive rebound against. I guess their big centers are just taking the Lakers bigs out of the equation when the ball is in the air
