Good defense or not though... not many teams (if any) can stop Wade or Bron's penetration if they're determined to get by their man.

And House is almost always hitting jumpers.... you're right... it's a marginal upgrade... but worth trying now IMO... because Arroyo is flat out horrible and a liability on the floor right now.

The problem is whenever I've seen the Heat play it's basically LeBron penetrating and then Wade catching it and then penetrating. They're too similar in their games and making Wade a strict jump shooter (as Boston has done) is a nice way of containing him.

And House gives you offence (marginally) but what defence as well? Beyond their 'big 3' that team has some serious holes.

I don't blame the players. I blame the coaching. Riley should step down and take over coaching duties.

What would Riley do to improve that team?

Riley is usually successful when he has a player who has a low post presence (Kareem, Ewing, Zo, Shaq).

Basketball isn't a video game. You need to build a team. Players can SPEAK they want to play with eachother but yesterday was a perfect e.g. of why you can't always just go out and get the best players. Look at how much Bosh is struggling. I'd guarantee you if it were just Wade and Bosh or LeBron and Bosh that team would be much much better. Having Wade and LeBron together, well, they're just too too similar. And LeBron always seems to want his.

That is what bugs me as well. Wade shooting 3's is just a horrible waste. And then last night he was terrible defensively, gambling too much, and not moving well at all. At one point he just stood up straight around the elbow, and when Rondo drove he was left flat-footed and just sticking an arm out. He did not look like a great player last night.

I think the offense will work itself out eventually, but they really can't afford to let pg's pick them apart so much. They should be killing teams on the defensive end right now, and mostly it's elite pg play that is keeping them from doing so. Which means they should still have a pretty good record, but the playoffs will be a different story.

Riley would bring in experience. Spoelstra has only been head coach for 2 years. Riley has been coaching since 1987. I'm sure he could utilize and orhestrate the Big 2 a lot better then Spoelstra can.

I think that Riley's biggest asset would be his ability to motivate and challenge his players.

He's a proven winner and proven leader.

I'm sure that he has a few ideas when it comes to altering the lineup to maximize his players' strengths.

EDIT: Lol.... looks like 007 and I think alike.

Miami really misses Mike Miller. I think dude will make a huge difference, on offense at least. The defense is still up in the air, that team haS to figure out a way to contain elite PGs. With the personnel they have there really should be no excuse for not having one of the better defensive teams in the league.

I've actually always liked his defense - I think he'll help there some as well.

Moses Malone was the last player to have a 30/30 game which was in 82'. Also the last player to grab 30 boards was Barkley in 96'.

In the Champions League, JLei has Love. I happen to be matched up against him this week.

He just got a big boost in the rebound category.
