He was labelled a bust before he even got drated. Just cuz you are tall doesn't make you a good player and so far Thabust is just proving this statement to be correct

Yea it's cuz he had "potential". Memphis prolly knew that he would be a long project, at maybe he'll work out but at the rate he is going, he'll prolly be one of the biggest busts ever

and from what i remember, people questioned his strength coming out of college. that's something that can be improved. i watched him play, regardless if he ends up as DPOY, all-star starter or even bench player, he'll be a good asset once he catches up to speed. |

Thabeet didn't start playing basketball until he was fifteen. FIFTEEN! Are you kidding me?!? I can't believe some people thought he could be a force just 8 years after he first picked up a basketball...

Well, if you look at it in another perspective, who else should Memphis have taken? Evans and Harden wouldn't fit because the Grizz have Mayo. Unless Conley was dealt, Jennings or Rubio wouldn't fit either.

Agreed, staying at Uconn for a few more years would've helped him a lot, but hes already 23, and if he stayed for the full 4 years, he would 27, and not many teams are going to draft a 27 year old rookie...

His numbers aren't that bad at all. Having said that, I've never watched him play in a game. He's still not a colossal bust, he's a young big man who's probably a little lost at this level of play.
