Smile Which teams have money to spend going forward?

Just wondering, i known the CBA has yet to be resolved and we don't know what's gonna happen. The last proposal from the owners had a hard cap of 62Mil and had teams keeping the MLE. So based on that (which is all we can do at this point), if the cap is a hard one and is in the 60-65Mil range, which team other then us have significant money to spend once free agency were to begin? Mainly, who would be able to afford going after Deandre Jordan, Tyson Chandler, Sam Dalembert, Marc Gasol etc.....?

BTW, the Dallas Mavericks have 63Mil commited to 10 players for next season. It's nowhere near a sure thing they can afford Chandler if there's a hardcap in the 62Mil range.

quite a few teams have space, depending on where the cap ends up. this article has a list that uses the expiring cba and doesn't include picks and cap holds. that makes it fairly useless, but teams like sacramento, indiana and the nets surely have a fair bit of room.

i know this isn't really what you are talking about here, but i wonder if chicago will make a play at vince Carter since he's been bought out and could come very cheap. he'd be a formidable force there if he could be convinced to start trying again.

Agree, he might be what they need. Then again like you said it depends on which VC shows up. You would think he'd be desperate to get a ring, sadly i don't know if he cares in all honesty.

Blazers capped out big time. Good thing Microsoft is hanging in there.
