Default Tanks and Unintentional Tankers

there is some teams taking this to another level, blame Duncan and Lebron

1. Orlando
2. Charlotte
3. Boston
4. Milwaukee
5. Phoenex
6. Philadelphia

teams are looking to join in

Sacremento
Atlanta is known if they don't land howard there going to tank

Toronto undecided
Portland if they decide to make a move with alderidge

what do you guys think of this kind of derby going in the NBA, its shameful

I always said they need to give less odds to team that's are in the top 5 and allow teams 6 to 14 a chance at winning the lottery also, have the odds more spread out, I think its fair considering teams sink games at the end of season and cause the Raptors and pistons to lose there seating

Harrison Barnes literally got ripped from are hands went golden state was in tank mode and not hiding it, straight bullshit, meanwhile demar derozan was padding his stats like it meant something and we get some wins that ruined are draft

its going to be an EPIC tank battle
we don't belong in that list, compared to all these teams our roster is in a better shape

Not yet, I believe it takes like 2 years before they could change it back so they will not be the Hornets until next year or the year after that.

I don't think Charlotte is intentionaqlly tanking. considering they can't accomplish one damn thing right, if they were to try to lose I would expect a 40 win season.

Sacramento is throwing max money at iggy, they're not tanking.
Phillys also trying to make a splash in FA.
Portland made a huge offer for Tiago Splitter to get their defensive C.

This is a big reason I think there should be greater player movement, not less. Teams toss assets aside to be players in free agency or the draft, instead of building on a true foundation. If teams old target players that fit a viable plan, and acquire enough of them without needing to overpay in such a restricted market, then a ton of teams would offer competitive rosters, and those with losing records one season could turn things around in the next. Now we have this formula for parity that seems to only offer an equal opportunity to try to get one or two top twenty players and lock them up for as long as possible with little chance to build much around those kinds of players. And in the absence of those players, there is more concern for ensuring there is cap room to acquire them or enough losing to draft them, then there is on building a foundation as a team that will allow for sustained success. It is going to take more than what is basically a hard cap to bring parity. I would suggest greater player movement through free agency and allowing fewer exceptions would play a bigger role than the hardest of caps. All the harder cap does is allow owners to justify shit basketball for a number of seasons. It's a business model that serves the fans terribly. Of course they get to imagine that the players in their city are loyal and there to stay for many years, for the most part, but I think there is little to no value in that.

Well I didn't know that sac pulled their offer but it seems like portland makes a big offer for a young defensive C every year...they are RFAs though, so they never get them.

I totally agree with this, there are so many shit teams

Since kobe is supposed to be retiring, the lakers will probably get the no 1 pick next year anyways

Yes, we should what till its a draft year full of players like AB or 1 or 2 players deep and definitely not when the draft is stacked 9-10-11 deep. At the very least, high proability of a potential all star next year if in top ten let alone the superstar potential at 1 and 2. it is what it is, if MU thinks its time to tank and its the only hope then we tank. If he thinks he can salvage this roster, then great. I just want the team to be more.

The best thing about this season being terrible for the eastern conference is that it will probably set a fully loaded in the next 10

I don't know what the Kings are thinking, it looks like their new management might be as good at picking a direction as the previous one..

But the Blazers have pretty much shown what they want to do. They want to use their cap space and make the team better. I never thought they'd blow it up, but right now it seems obvious.

I expect them to go after Robin Lopez since the Pelicans need that cap space. If it doesn't work, Chris Kaman or such.

They should be pretty good next year.
