Default T-Mac not a total bum after all

"Money is not an issue for me,'' said McGrady. "If it boiled down to it, I got a great, great adidas contract. So money is not an issue. I just want to win. That's my main focus.

"At this stage of my career, it's all about winning. I don't care about a max contract or nothing like that. I want to play basketball, and I want to win. ... There's no question (about wanting to return to Houston). I don't want to put all my eggs in one basket, but definitely this is where I'd love to be.''

And he clearly knows that, but he's just giving the politically correct answer right now.

I wouldn't be opposed to it. He's got an insurance buffer on his contract that allows his new team to get 80% of his game by game salary for any games he misses. That would make his nasty contract a little more manageable.

people forget that TMac lead the Rockets to that 20 game win streak without Yao and Artest wasn't on the team, I think

Would love to see Tmac here instead of Bargs.

We'd be in the playoffs I can gaurantee that.

And then with him and Bosh steering the ship we'd lose in the first round.

I'd rather get there than lose Bosh.

This will not make us playoff contenders by any means Acie, but it's more of an addition by subtraction (getting rid of Bargs).

He's a guard/forward, but not a Center. He might solve our sg problem though because DD is not cutting it.

How is he not a bum after all? I'd rather have Vince back than McGrady. His level of understanding of the game is atrocious.

I think he was being sarcastic.

In all honesty I would not be surprised to see T-Mac in a Raptors uniform within the next month. The chances of something like this happening increase if we lose to the Nets tomorrow.

What? How do you figure?

One of the best all-around players in the league in his prime, not to mention maybe one of the greatest scorers of all time. Also a lock-down defender in his day. The athleticism might not be there anymore, but an atrocious understanding of the game? Really?

one of the Toronto sports writers mentioned how he still likes the city and has some people in Toronto, he was chatty at the game
I think Smith said this

Anyone who scores 30 a night without breaking a sweat is something special.

you say he has all the talent in the world... but what does that mean? He was born cashing 3's? He has a horrible understand of the game?

Choose 1: He's either a work horse who so many jumpers than his offensive game is silky smooth, or he has a great understanding of the game so that he doesnt need to work hard and does all the subtle moves to score.

No one scores 30 a night without either super hard work, or an unreal understanding of the game. no one.

Call me crazy but the Spurs, Lakers, Celtics and Magic all seem like possible destinations. He could start, for sure, in San Antonio, Boston(If they don't re-sign Ray) and Orlando(PF - Lewis, SF -McGrady, SG - Carter).
