T.J.'s Interview in Indiana

Didn't listen to it myself, but I've attached the actual link to the interview at the bottom and for those than can't listen to it here's a recap courtesy of chocolateSens1 from the RealGM.

-Knew he was going to be traded when season ended, but didn't know where he was going.
-Trade talks went from hot to cold and then went down
-Caldy was a RFA and the situation suggested that he would be the one gone.
-Wants to show mental toughness on the defensive night. Not going to stop everyone, but will make it tough to score.
-Him getting hurt made him mentally tougher. Wants to be a leader on and off the court, wants to get back to how he played in college.
-Looking to be a vocal leader since there is no standalone superstar on the team.
-Has high expectations for self.
-Has been over the Horford incident, and it doesn't phase him when playing at the level he's capable of.
-Knows Indiana has a great love for ball, but knows the state of the franchise and is hoping to resurrect things.
-Watched Larry Bird growing up, and enjoys talking to and being around a HOFer.
-Wants to come in play hard, prove people wrong (BC?). And wants to become one of the best teams in the east, and thinks it's possible.
-Wants to continue to play in the postseason.

Well, they definately arent making the postseason unless they make some major trades this offseason, so itll be the first time TJ has gone fishing so early.

Hes a class act though and I wish him all the best. Hes going to be a very good PG for a very long time.

I was visiting the Pacer board on RealGM there and it seems like TJ is really respected over there. I mean, its not like I expected them to hate on him or anything, but its good for him that he's respected over. Best of luck in Indy TJ!!
