i thought i made it clear it was about his road to the nba.

so the lin situation is prejudicism and not racism. nash, canadian, white, played high school ball in canada so the competition is weaker and he goes unrecruited.
lin, asian, so he did well in high school but he can't do well in tougher competition.
i guess when your the first of your kind, people are always skeptical. the first black ballers went thru it (talking strickly basketball, not all the off the court stuff).

gets a contract with gstate but gets no playing time and gets cut. goes to houston and gets cut. then goes to the knicks. is it a coincident that the first time he plays any relevant minutes (35MIN) he's able to finally show what he can do? the guy just need an opportunity but no one up to this point has given him a chance because......of well you know.....
i assumed this part was talking about the nba...

The point is that there have certainly been european players (specifically guards) in the NBA before.... There's never been an asian guard who's stuck in the league. To this point I'd assume that it's because they haven't been good enough... and if that's been the case for years and years then it's a stereotype that Lin is going to have to deal with.
there was an asian guard as early as 1944, but you're point is well taken.

but i hardly think that a league known for a global outlook and an intention to build the game in asia is passing on guys because of race.

Oh I think that Stern and the league would LOVE it.... it's the GMs that need the convincing.

Lin gets his shot in the upcoming week to prove whether or not hes a fluke, as he'll be the starting PG as of tonight for your NYK

Next 3 games for the Knicks.... UTH, WAS, LAL.

Funny that he'll prob. get to go head-to-head with Wall again.

Ladies & Gents... looks like Mr. Lin may not be a 1-game wonder after all. He's shitting all over the Jazz right now.

At the half:

Lin: 9 pts, 7 assists, 2 stls, 0 TOs. 4/9 from the floor.
Harris: 7 pts, 3 rebs, 1 asst, 2 TOs. 3/3 from the floor.

Knicks: 51
Utah: 38

I'm reading what Knick fans are saying on another board and they're going apeshit lol... apparently he could have had about 12 assists right now if guys like Jared Jeffries could just finish. MSG was chanting "MVP!" already hahaha....

so it's a lucky night for the Knicks?

The line up they've been playing most of this game with consists of Lin, Fields, Walker, Jeffries, Shumpert and they've built this lead. Chandler has 3 fouls, Amare and Carmelo are out.

No, Jazz look horrid. No more, no less. Even Milsap looks like shit tonight. Just saying, NYK are full marks for it and good for Lin, but this an awful game for Utah.

Next game against WAS will be a test for him. You know that Wall has been waiting for revenge....

And then the Lakers after that. We'll see what he's made of.
