Of course, the fact that Amare makes a shit load of money and is one of these "stars" you're refering to, does probably make Lin feel as though he has to try harder to get Amare involved - I acknowledge that - but I don't see Amare as feeling "entitled".

In my opinion, if you want to shit on Amare, give him a hard time for his mediocre defense.
You might be right, I don't follow the team enough to really know. I guess I get my opinions more from past comments he's made.

Actually, the first game Amare came back, Lin was in a pickle. Always looking for him and turning the ball over. I think Amare talked to him at half and told him to do what he had been doing because the Knicks came back to win the game.

Someone find the game and boxscores. Too lazy.

PS. Melo dosnt care about winning. He just wants "his". NY fans will turn on him fierce!

he was 4/11 but i watched the game and i felt he was deferring too much as to make a point, kinda like kobe not shooting at all for one half to stick it to phil. they pulled within 6 points at one point in the 4th and he would have been a perfect time for him to "take over". it could be also because it was his 1st game back from injury but who knows. guess we can only wait and see

we will have to wait and see after the all-star break, because Miami are going to destroy NY and Melo will not have more than 12 min in the second half.

funny how at the start of the season everyone was all "COLE WORLD" for norris cole on the heat, then that died down. now it's linsanity.

battle of the present vs. former hype tomorrow, hate both teams so i'll just root for my asian brother.

Knicks are pounding the Hawks tonight. But it's woth nothing that Joe Johnson is not playing.

Lin has 13/4 at the half. Only 1 turnover. Melo has 3 assists and only took 7 shots.

hehe - nice one

There's also Thomas, who was the absolute last pick in the draft, and looking pretty good. One thing that stands out with all three, is that they didn't jump straight to the NBA, but managed to refine their game over a college career of 3 or 4 years. That might be the new it factor moving forward, especially for teams with middling picks that could use a contributor right away, or from elite teams that want to make the most of a late pick and add depth.

If he can avg. 17 & 9 for the rest of the season he'll be one of the top PGs in the league IMO.

If I was checking box scores, and saw someone get 17 points and 9 assists in 33 minutes, I wouldn't be like OMG LINSANITY!!!!

By average, I didn't mean statistically, i meant Lin wise.

Easy now.

to make things clear you said "pretty average starting PG game". you can't blame me for thinking you were talking about an average game for a starting PG in general instead of specifically for lin. i'm glad you have such high expectations of him tho. theres rumours that lebron will guard lin tmr. now thats mad respect!! can't wait for tomorrows game

you were referring to Lin? pretty ambiguous if you ask me.....either way 17 pts and 9 assists are still pretty solid for any kind of point guard. If Calderon's putting up numbers like that on a nightly basis the Raptors would be in the playoffs.

Jeremy Lin doesn't have to put up crazy numbers in the box score for people to hail him as Linsanity, it's a matter of helping his team win while being highly efficient and turning the franchise around with his mature approach to the game is what Linsanity is all about. Playing the game the right way, playing as a team, not just putting up ridiculous numbers by himself...that's what Melo has been doing all his career, filling up the stat sheets scoring like no tomorrow but he aint nowhere near what Jeremy has accomplished because he doesn't help his team win games.

Anthony has been to the conference finals. Call me when Lin gets out of the first round.
