Linsanity? haha
It just seems that New York is magnifying every break comes their way and blowing out of proportion. Granted Lin was going up against Devin Harris, John Wall and Deron Williams but Utah is the only team with a +.500 record and the Raptors have already beaten these opponents atleast once. Lins performances have been amirable but too small a sample size, opposed to Bayless 30 vs Lins 23 against the same foe-Washington, the only difference is Lin dished out 10 assist and got the win.

Who Bayliss? Are you saying that Bayliss is better than this guy?

I dunno man, this guy is actually running a team, Bayliss is just running.

Jeremy Lin hasn't even proven himself like Marco Belinelli or Anthony Randolph a couple years ago did (both were hot for a whole month!). Right now, unless we could get him for dirt cheap, he's a completely unknown commodity.

There's a marked difference between having a couple of good games numbers-wise and leading your team to victory when 2 of your 3 best players are out of the lineup.

Unless I'm mistaken and Randolph and Belinelli did that, it's not the same thing.

It's pointless to worry about it. you're right, he is new and unproven, but hey, he looks like a good enough deal that I doubt the Knicks are going to run out and let a division rival have him. These notions make no sense. Lin could be had last year, then again this year.....that window is officially shut.

These are the breaks you need in this new NBA if you ask me.... too bad our Team hasn't had one... we thought we did with Moon for a while...but that went away.

Anyhow, like I said, pointless to waste energy on, he isn't available. The guy I watched last night, that J lin, I'd take him in a heart beat.

He'll be available in the summer. NYK only guaranteed his contract until the end of this season. If teams come out of the woodwork offering him more than the MLE (which is possible if he keeps up his good play) I doubt the Knicks will be able to afford him. One thing's for sure.... he ain't gonna be makin' $800K/yr next season.

Against NJ, Washington, and a Utah team with holes and on an off-night. Is it possible to have just a little perspective? Not to mention that the Knicks could beat anyone on any given night when their shooters hit the 3's.

Bayless lead his team to victory in much the same manner, and while his team was down by 28 or something. Against Detroit. In the end it didn't really matter all that much.

Did you see me (or SJ) hyping Bayless after that DET game? I don't think so.... and that's because, as I said, there's a marked difference between a player getting hot and making shots (which many bench/scrub players have done in the past) and performing the way that Lin has been over NYK's past 3 games.

It's really comparing apples to oranges.

NYK has sucked this year. Anyone who's watched them play has literally cringed at how bad they've been. Hoisting 35-40 3s a game.... selfish iso play... zero ball movement... that's all changed since Lin has been inserted. Their roster without Melo and Amare (and Baron) is downright laughable. The only guy who'd start on any other team in the league is probably Chandler... and yet they've won the last 3 games.

Why is it so difficult to believe that GMs could have just missed the boat on this guy? Happens all the time. That's how guys like Boozer, Millsap and Redd end up going 2nd round. It's how guys like Parker and Ginobili end up getting chosen 28th or 29th overall. Lin himself admitted that he wasn't a great "solo workout" guy because he really wasn't going to do anything that would wow you athletically.... but play him 5-on-5 and he's magic because he has a bball IQ that's far beyond most rooks (esp. at the PG spot). He just knows how to play the game. Plain & simple.

What I wonder about is how Morley, usually a very good judge of talent, has cut this guy? Yes, he's twitted his regrets, but why did he cut him?

Seriously, I hope Lin is not a flash in a pan.
